LTG, even allowing for the crazy three point shooting don't you feel the showtime Lakers would win against modern teams especially Golden State? I do. On offense they could hit some threes for sure with Wilkes and Kareem and Worthy would be unstoppable getting many two point buckets. With all the three point attempts a ton of those misses would turn into showtime transition buckets like mad. It would be glorious. |

The Philly team with Doc Moses and Toney would bounce them too. I agree they would run out on a lot of those threes and get layups. They'd also exploit the hell out of small ball. No way in hell you get away with sticking Green on Moses or Kareem or Chief for that matter. |

It would be a race to who scores 140 first. Nobody on that Lakers team would have a prayer of stopping Steph, Klay, and Durant either. |

Michael Cooper was an all league defender. A.C Green was solid and Byron Scott wasn't a slouch. I like Thompson but he still can't create a shot off the bounce. Curry would be a tougher cover and they'd have no one for Durant. G.S. has no answer for Magic Kareem or Worthy Scott was dropping 20 on you too. They'd run G.S out the gym. That was an all time great team. |

Taken to 6 games against a mediocre Cleveland team. Lost to Cleveland last season when Cleveland was at full strength. Lakers had to beat another great team to win G.S. hasn't had to do that. They also have benefitted from injuries to all star players each year of their so called run. The Lakers would have destroyed them. G.S. has no post presence and no point guard. They could jack all the threes they want but the balance of the Lakers plus Hall of Fame talent would have bounced them. |

The league is more watered down than it was in years prior due to expansionism. Have to keep that in mind when analyzing GS' 73 wins. |
