It could be worse, we could be the Brooklyn Nets.

Your 100% right.

This was the story I originally wanted to link too. Good run down of how bad the Nets are.

Bulls aren't in great shape but MANY teams are in worse. Pacers are basically like the Bulls except with a worse star player on an expiring contract who has already made it well known he's not coming back.

Sounds like they're gonna fuck up this Jimmy Butler thing though so we can revisit next summer

What are they doing to fuck up Butler situation? What would you do with him?

I think they're gonna fuck up by trading him for future picks from Boston like the Lakers 2018 or Kings 2019 picks and some other junk.

I would keep him and build around him. If I was gonna trade him, it would've been for the 1 pick from Boston and get Fulz and whatever else I could from the deal. Obviously that's off the table now.

I dont see it. I dont think they have the balls to make a move like that

They had an agreement in place for a trade for Kobe and Kobe nixxed it because he didn't want Deng included. But outside of that there haven't been a ton of opportunities for big trades for them. I guess you could argue they should've looked into trading Noah after his 4th place MVP finish but that's kind of a stretch. Most teams don't want to trade their best player. Not having done it recently is hardly an indicator of unwillingness to do it in the future.

Build around him? You can't and expect to win. If you take NBA finals alone he'd be the 6th best player in it.

LeBron James
Durant
Curry
Irving
Klay Thompson.

All better than Jimmy buckets

You're not getting a No. 1 overall for him and won't get anything inside of a top 10 pick for him

Yeah we've been over this and you're wrong. He's better than Kyrie. Him and Klay is tougher but I'd take him. Butlers a great player. He's absolutely the kind of guy you want to be one of your top two options on a great team.

No he isn't. Kyrie Irving destroyed the league MVP head to head. Which great player has Jimmy Butler ever destroyed?

As a 21 year old Kyrie won 33 games with guys that are either out of the league or rotation players. He gets bashed for not doing anything prior to LeBron. He had nothing to work with and he was young. Cleveland was also one 9f the most dysfunctional franchises in the league at the time. Jimmy Butler would win 25 games with that unit.

You sure? As long as Curry continues to duck there is no head to head. Meantime Butler didn't really look top 10 against Boston. Can t build around him

The one good thing about a Butler/Boston trade would be that he would finally be surrounded with good players, a lot of three point shooters, and a great coach. He'd be an unbelievably good fit there.

Kyrie Irving changed the perception of Steph Curry. Kevin Durant is the reason G.S. won the series. Not Steph Curry.

There's no one reason GS won the series. There are several. Steph was undeniably a big factor. Kyrie had to outplay him for the Cavs to have a chance and when they're both healthy Kyrie can't do it

If Steph Curry is checking him he can. We've already seen it. If injury is the reason for Irving out Playing him last season then why didn't he guard him this season? Shouldn't he be able to guard him if that were really the issue? Curry really didn't outplay him either. Irving scored 38 and 40 points in successive games and the announcers were all saying that Curry needed to step up.

Irving ended this last season so I will end it as well.

Would you trade Butler for #3 in this year's draft and a top 5 pick in either 2018 or 2019?

They'd have to throw in Jaylen Brown and Avery Bradley too. Then they flip Avery Bradley's expiring deal over to a contender near the deadline for another pick.

You're not getting the #3 pick, a future top 5 pick, Jaylen Brown and Avery Bradley for Butler. You get two of those pieces at most.

The 2018 pick isn't guaranteed to be in the top 5 and the 2019 is even less so
