 Guess the offers haven't been pouring in for Nerlens Noel. Now his agent is whining and Noel has taken to social media to show the world that he has a jump shot.

Not much to see here. This would be a big deal if he was a UFA. He's not.

Yes it is he stinks. Other restricted free agents signed contracts. There isn't a market for him. He will play in the NBA but the easiest thing to do is let someone sign him and allow Dallas to match. In the good old days teams would do that simply to fuck up the matching team's salary cap. Noel isn't even worth the trouble of doing that.

He's obviously proven himself at minimum a valuable rotation player. He thinks he's more than that and isn't gonna tie himself down to a multi year contract at a 8th man price. That's why he isn't signed yet. His agent even makes that clear in the link. We talked about this already. Bump this when he actually signs a contract. Until then everything is baseless speculation.

The market has determined his value. No one is checking for him by all accounts. He can think he is the second coming of Bill Russell but it doesn't matter if no one else believes it. He is a poor man's Tyson Chandler (Bulls version). They are spinning and whining about Dallas when the truth is that he never had much value anyway. He will sign a 10+ per year deal but they give that shit away these days. Tony Snell got that deal. If he thinks he is good then he does the one year and allows the league bid for him next season. He wants Dallas to overpay for him when no one else in the league will.

League sources tell me that teams are devaluing Irving based on his "me-first" attitude and since the NBA is valuing more evenly distributed offense that these "superteams" provide.

In with the Butlers, Pauls and Haywards. Out with the Melos, Irvings and Wades. Even Derrick Rose walked back his need to be the alpha.

Seat for Nerlens Noel really seems to be heating up. Fires Agent.
