I haven't been paying attention/reading in detail about the transactions. I thought you hated the butler deal? That's all I'm saying here too.

I didn't like the Butler deal but a lot of that had to do with who they drafted. Plus I love Butler as a player. But it's very obvious they got the best deal between them, the Pacers, and the Clippers. I don't think it's debatable(ltg will still debate it).

Maybe comparatively but are the players the pacers and clippers received able to walk without assistance?

LaVine is the least of my worries of the three players we got back.

And they need to pay him. And we gave up another pick. Robbed.

Least of my worries. We know he can play in the NBA. We don't know that about the other two guys we got.

Jrue Holiday signs for 5 years/$126MM, AKA the contract that ensures Anthony Davis leaves New Orleans. This is where I remind folks vegan wanted him and Chandler Parsons last year :D

I don't think I specifically pinpointed those players. You want them surrounding Butler and Portis or do you want a cripple and two unknowns and no Butler?

You definitely specifically said those are two guys you would have looked to sign but I'm just fuckin with you, we all get things wrong.

I want zero part of Chandler parsons. That's an early contender for worst contract in NBA history.

I mentioned them as options they could have considered. I also said Barnes, Beal, etc. Anyone but Wade and Rondo.

I already made that point you lug. This Paul George is intriguing and addresses something that Vegan touched on earlier about Skilled Gms. This is what skilled Gms like Presti do. He isn't worried about whether George wants to play the Lakers. He pulled the trigger anyway. Didn't worry about giving up young players either. Made the move and made them a top three or 4 team. I actually think they can get to 2.

This was a helluva move and I think he resigns with them.

According to Aschburner Minnesota fans are upset about the Rubio trade. Rubio only guy to play in Minnesota with a positive +- over the past 10 years.

My GM thing was strictly about drafting. Trades and free agency are areas where it's pure talent and not chance.

Yeah I think it was a really bad trade too. Rubio improved a lot last season.

The contracts that are being passed out Are sickening. Absolute bums are getting $10M a year and good players are getting $20M.

Yeah, still too much talent for a bum like Brooks to waste away.

I'm fairly certain the Thunder won't be a 2 seed next year and the year after that George will be a Laker

We will see. The Lakers suck and will suck for the foreseeable future

I'm also confident Okc finishes no lower than 3. Barring major injuries to George or Westbrook.

They'll suck next year. The year after that when they have LeBron, George, and Westbrook they'll be decent.

Also looks like Iguodala is heading to the Rockets.

If you're over 6 feet and in HS I think you should be throwing your football gear in the nearest dumpster and signing up to play basketball. How can you justify CTE, paralysis, and all the other risks of football while playing under non guaranteed contracts when JJ freaking Redick is pulling down 23M per year. Not to mention Snell and the multi million dollar contract he's going to get. Whatever article I read about Snell mentioned that he had just averaged the highest minutes per game in his career. That was the lead when mentioning the money he's going to get.

Don't worry. In Illinois there are many 6'1/6'2 center /power forwards types at the high school level who think they are going to college for basketball.

I agree probably the season after next.

Also keep in mind the way Kobe and KG's bodies/production fell apart pretty dramatically right around age 35. Jumping straight out of high school, and putting that extra mileage on your body right away may lead to a quicker decline. Maybe not tho.

Then again, Lebron is a freak of nature with a more varied skill set than either Garnett or Bryant. He could hang out on the low block or be a stretch 4 in the twilight of his career.

Edit: I'm not advocating players being withheld from jumping straight to the pros. Just pointing out what I've seen.

Once he goes for the longterm deal it means he knows he is about to breakdown.

Kobe had a major injury and KG is 7 feet tall.

In your guys opinion....when does LeBron start to break down?

Within the next 2 years.
