You undervalue players who are in their early 30's and this is another case. Gasol's 32, shot 38% from 3 and averaged a career high ppg and apg last year. He would fit in perfectly with Boston's scheme too and should be able to play well with Horford. It'd be a great addition.

Any team trading for George that isn't the Lakers is dumb. You're a championship or bust guy. Why would you give up assets for one year of Paul George - a year in which you have no chance of winning the title? The Thunder have zero chance of resigning him.

It's true about the 30s but maybe it makes sense in Boston because they're in win now mode. We don't know about George to LA yet. If he was in Boston he may come within a game of reaching the finals or maybe even lose in the finals. Hard to walk away from that situation to join the shitshow in LA, led by an egomaniac father.

Hayward isn't really a significant downgrade and you can lock him in for your 2-3 year window you have with this core
