Who would you take if both were healthy?

Penny was always soft, so it's RW for me. If RW was Penny's height then he'd dominate even more than he did last year. It'd be a toss up between him and KD as who is the better player.

I think people forget how great Penny was and he never peaked. Westbrook had a great season.

I agree. We never saw the complete deal with Penny. And he played in a different time. A healthy penny would have went crazy in this current NBA as well.

No doubt if you look at stats Westbrook was better, but stats do not even come close to telling the tale here.

I would take Westbrook, because Penny is 45.

Penny was smooth as silk, but Westbrook is a killer.

Everything after "westbrook is a killer" is wrong.

We did see the complete Penny - and he was damn good. He had about a good five year run or so before the injuries. I'd say he was a poor man's LBJ at best, which is obviously not bad RW is better imo.

The reason neither of these guys have any rings is neither guy could/can play defense. I'd take Jrue Holiday or Patrick Beverley over either of them, at least Beverley/Holiday can D it up.

Russ, give RB a shaq in his prime and he gets a ring or two.

The reason Westbrook doesn't have a ring is because Durant and Harden soldout against Miami. He showed up and he guarded Wade. He held his own with Wade too. Durant also soldout against Golden State while he guarded Curry.

This is actually one of the better ball questions posted around here in awhile. I've been thinking about it foor a day, but just because of Russ' heart I still can't definitively answer.

Although with today's rules I'll probably have to lean Penny. He was Magic w/o the leadership gene

I'll roll with Penny too because his all around game was so much better. Still tough though.

Not difficult at all for me to say Russ, I'm not sure there's one thing that Russ isn't better at.

Russ doesn't make his teammates better. Russ is all about Russ's numbers. Never going to win a NBA title.

Russ got 84 playoff games to date, about 20 more than Penny for his career, Russ is in the west while penny was in the east, I'll take the guy who dishes out more assists, scores more points and grabs more boards. I'd love to see a young Shaq with Russ, they'd be unstoppable.
