Russ got 84 playoff games to date, about 20 more than Penny for his career, Russ is in the west while penny was in the east, I'll take the guy who dishes out more assists, scores more points and grabs more boards. I'd love to see a young Shaq with Russ, they'd be unstoppable.

Russ is 1-4 in the playoffs without Durant. He was just riding coattails. That's why it's funny when people say he's better than guys like Durant, Kawhi, LeBron.

This is actually one of the better ball questions posted around here in awhile. I've been thinking about it foor a day, but just because of Russ' heart I still can't definitively answer.

Although with today's rules I'll probably have to lean Penny. He was Magic w/o the leadership gene

Westbrook is the only one since the Big O to average a triple double....take Anfernee

I'll roll with Penny too because his all around game was so much better. Still tough though.

Not difficult at all for me to say Russ, I'm not sure there's one thing that Russ isn't better at.

http://www.landofbasketball.com

Russ doesn't make his teammates better. Russ is all about Russ's numbers. Never going to win a NBA title.

Russ is the real deal. Top three today.

Really impressed with that one playoff win, huh?

He's more impressive when compared to Penny. He'll have time to build a better playoff resume. The only thing softer than Penny's mental makeup was his knee tissue.

Because Shaq said so.

Your NBA thoughts are hit n miss, I can't say if your being sarcastic or sincere. If Russ went to a 73 win golden state team that win a ring a year prior, they win a ring too and breeze through the playoffs. The only difference is if Durant was the Lone Wolf in OK City, the Thunder don't even make the playoffs this year.

If Russ and KD switched teams this past year the Thunder lose in the second round probably. Golden State still wins the title but almost certainly doesn't go 16-1 in the postseason.

I think Durant is clearly and significantly better as a player than Westbrook is.

We'll never know, Russ and KD are both better than Penny.

Would you agree that Russ is never going to win anything playing the way he did this past season?

No, I'll agree Russ will never win a run in okc, that's why KD split.

You think having a player with a 41% usage rate and a guy who shoots 18 shots in one quarter in a playoff game is going to have team success? I strongly disagree.

No, he had decent enough players around him. Adams and Oladipo are above average starters. His supporting cast wasn't significantly worse than Harden's or Kawhi's. His team's record was though.

I was a huge Magic guy in the 90's. I'd love to say Penny but you just can't. His first three years were great, and who knows what he could have been without injuries.

But Westbrook has eclipsed the best we saw of Penny.

The starting lineup of the Thunder was worse than that of the Bulls if you subtract Westbrook from theirs and Butler from the Bulls.

Westbrook also carried them the year Durant was injured too. Just missed the playoffs but I think they won 48 games that year.
