Besides the unfortunate coronary this could give LTG, it would be an excellent move for Minnesota.

The Wolves are one of 4 teams Irving has requested to be traded to.

It's being reported Jimmy Butler and Karl Anthony-Towns have been recruiting Irving to come play up north.

Depending on what they would have to give up this is a move that undeniably gets MN into the second round, and maybe further.

Minnesota has no chance of landing Irving?

The problem is your thread title. Makes it sound like it's a done deal.

But I don't see how it can happen anyway unless Minnesota gives up Wiggins

They'd also have to find a new home for Teague...but have to wait till December to do so. Why am I posting here? We've already got a thread on this.

Wiggins for Kyrie... I'd do it.

Thread title is fine. You guys need to R-E-L-A-X, and rejoice alongside us Twolves fans when Kyrie is the newest member of Thibs' playoff bound squad.

Hmm... Suns or Celtics.

Idk if they'd trade him to Boston tho. I still think the Wolves could get him.

I think if it's the Wolves it gets done in Dec. Don't know if Cleveland wants to wait that long. I still don't think they move him. If they have decided that he has to go then I don't think they want to bring him to training camp.

I think Cleveland would want Teague Wiggins and maybe Dieng for him in a deal. 2 starters and a bench guy. Cleveland would have to throw in a guy or 2 to make the salaries work.

Boston has Thomas and tradeable asset Crowder. Would Cleveland want That? Doubt it.

Thomas, Crowder, and doesn't Boston still have one more Nets pick next year? That may be able to get it done. Could throw in Jaylen Brown too.

I thought about including Brown. With Hayward and Tatum Brown is the odd man out. Those three with Cleveland giving Back Irving and another player gets it done too.

I think all of the Phoenix talk is James Jones related. They just named him Veep of basketball relations.

I want a Kyrie - Devin Booker backcourt in Phoenix. Give Cleveland mini LeBron Bledsoe, Marquese Chriss, Dragan Bender, Dudley, and a future protected pick. I'd throw in Josh Jackson too but I don't think that's necessary.

I'm wondering why LeBron would insist on Jackson. They play the same position and Jackson isn't ready to compete at a championship level right now. If Cleveland can t get him I don't think they'd do it though. I think they want an all star or a guy with all star potential.

LeBron can play (and has played) every position except center, and one can argue traditional centers don't even make an appearance in many games. LeBron is the type of player that can fit any four players, no matter their type or position, around him and be successful.

Bernstein narrative and it has always been false. He used to hate playing the 4 because he didn't like all of the banging. He will do it in stretches but he doesn't want it full time. It's really matchup related with him. He will do it if it's an undersized guy or a guy playing out of position. You're not putting him on legit 4s and 5s and getting away with it full time.

Uhh, no dude. The eye test, man. I've seen LeBron guard all 5 positions in a single game and still put up a triple double and have his team win by 20. You should probably watch the NBA games instead of listening to Bernstein.

I have no idea what Bernstein's opinions are.

I don't believe in box scores because they document statistics, so I can't prove it to you. I can only go by the eye test. But this also means that you can't prove me wrong.

I know you're being message board facetious (a newly documented disease) but I will indulge anyway. Which 4's and 5's have you seen James guard with your eye test?

Was this his assignment for an entire game? I'm sure if one tries really hard you can find J.R. Smith guarding him too. It's called a switch.

Point exactly. James never had Nowitzki as his assignment during that series. If he covered him it was due to a switch.

LeBron has guarded 4's and 5's for entire stretches of games. Especially in the 4th quarter of tight games.

Don't be mad. Eye test has spoken.

No he hasn't. I'm sure you'd have no trouble providing the oft referenced photo illustrating how he guarded Derrick Rose during the Bulls series 6 years ago.
