I still have no idea what point you're attempting to make

Irving's market wasn't depressed because it happened at the perfect storm of the team with the most assets just happened to be desperate to get rid of their own star who played the exact same position, is 4 years older, smaller and in need of a big FA contract after the season.

Everything you just posted is beyond stupid and not worthy of further reply.

I think the masses will agree that I owned you in this debate.

So you basically said this to say that Boston had the sort of players that Cleveland would accept. ok

The trade model for Irving was similar to that for Butler. That was until it wasn't.

That I'm not sure how to judge him next year. If he was traded to some horrible team, which was my dream, then I'd definitely bet that he'd never get past the first round for a long time. But he's been traded to the second best team in the conference, even with the turnover, so now it's a given that they'd make the playoffs and go deep. They were going to do that without him too.

Not being able to get out the first round with Horrible talent isn't really an indictment on him as a player.

Apparently being traded for terrible talent wouldn't be either.

Can't say I agree with the entire list, but Jimmy is #8. And above Kyrie.

Kyrie is #23. Behind Jokic, Lillard, Conley, Gobert, Lowry, Hayward, Wall and Draymond Green.

According to this, he is the 9th best PG in the league. Sounds right.

I tried telling long time guy about Jokic last year and he wouldn't listen. Jokic is fucking awesome.

That's a bad list though. Simply no case to be made to put Lowry over Kyrie.

Butler can play shut down defense, but Kyrie doesn't do that. Kyrie is a better offensive player, but Butler is a better all-around player. If the Celtics beat the Cavs I think we can conclude that Kyrie is better than Butler. We have to see what Kyrie can do on a team without LeBron.
