Amare was never held accountable for the failure to go far in the playoffs. He was making 20 mil a year. Its one thing to think its a bad contract but its another thing to hold him accountable for the losing.

He pretty much never played for them after 2011, right? Like 10 games a year or something? It sounds weird to blame him personally for that. It's the team's fault for signing him.

Being paid as a max player and not contributimg anything was much more responsible for the failure to win than Anthony being a guy you cant win with.

Sure. But it’s weird to blame a guy for being hurt.

By that logic Embiid is more responsible for the Sixers struggles this year than anyone else.

Those same Knicks were at their best when Amare was there. So why are we blaming Amare for the poor Carmelo years when Carmelo was worse after Amare was gone?

True. They gutted halve of their team to get Marshmelo. I believe Denver made the playoffs and advanced that year too.

They were .500 the only year he was actually good. That was for about 60 games. They were out of the playoffs and Carmelo helped them make the playoffs. Carmelo Anthony propelled the Knicks to the best record that they have had in the last 20 years.

That's a fact. Facts are foreign to you however.

He is and I'm an Embiid guy. You have to play however. Especially if you are a big money guy. Just like Rose. I dont blame guys for getting injured but you have to play.

Here is an apropo analogy. That would be the equivalent of blamimg Luol or Noah for the Bulls struggles at the time.

When your best players are injured its going to impact the team.

The Knicks were at their best when Amare was there isn't a factual statement. Maybe to you it is.

He missed close to 2/3rds of their games that season. Its not much of a stretch if a person claims that he wasnt there.

I must have missed where Amare was the guy who finished 3rd in MVP voting.

Its also a fact that Carmelo Antbony has won the majority of

the basketball games in which he has participated since becoming a professional basketball player.

Just so you know, Jimmy Butler's career winning percentage is 58.1%, versus Carmelo's 54.9%.

Not as his team's best player it isn't. Nice try though.

During each season that Carmelo played with the Knicks save one their winning petcentage was better when he played. Fact.

Continue the false narrative regarding making teams worse.

Well it does counter the false narrative that regarding making teams worse. His teams in New York were much better with him than they were without him.

During the 54 win season they won 70% of their games with him and less than 50% of them without him. 2 years ago they were 32-40 with him and 0-10 without him.

Well Carmelo left the Knicks and they look to be about 10-15 games better without him.

Butler left the Bulls and they look to be 15-20 games worse without him.

Proof is in the pudding.

They also lost Wade and Rondo. 4 out of the 8 best players (including the guy regarded as their best player) Have missed significant time this year.

Its obvious that Rondo was the more valuable player during last season's playoff with Boston.

He knows basketball. He played basketball and his criticisms of Curry were legitimate. You just said no one ever said that about Curry and i gave you a person who has said that about Curry.

The quote makes no sense. They have a winning team. ZaZa Pachulia and Javale Mcgee aren't seen as problems either.

Present tense isn't relevant either. Winning teams have different perceptions. Guys will always be overrated. Nothing revelatory on that.

I'm also sure that Stephen A. has never suggested that Nerlens Noel was good at professional basketball either.
