Idk about the semantics/technicalities/formalities of it all, but at least to a basketball-casual like me "The Dubs" sure looked like KD's team when they were junking the Cavs in the finals!

ya thats what i mean. I think it's going to his head. last offseason he was quiet and most of the season he played along. but this year he's been more assertive. he shit on curry's shoes and brand. let's see if his ego gets out of control.

this offseason w/ all the silly things he's done, makes me look at him in a different way. he's a weird guy. and that's saying a lot from me who's been called a weird guy all my life.

As usual, Walt is right.

Nothing revelatory there Douche. He is their 3rd best player. When he was great he would have been their best player. He still has about 2 more years of being able to play at a high level. That's my point. For the first time in his career he won't be the #1 option. He doesn't have to be a #2 either. As a #3 option he is going to be dynamite. He George and Westbrook are tremendous competitors too. That's what's lost in all this.

Those 3 along with Adams are going to get after it. Robertson is a top3 defender also. Watch out world. I thought about him and the Thunder earlier this season but I d8dnt know if they had the pieces to pull it off.

Assuming health, the East is already decided with Cleveland the clear front-runner. Boston could be nipping at their heals if everything goes right, but unlikely to be more than a good team.

With the talent so top heavy in the West, does this make the NBA more watchable, less watchable, etc? I've heard different sides that people are sick of teams loading up, others like the top heavy nature of the West where a team like the Spurs are now an afterthought with GS, OKC, Houston loading up.

It's not all that bad. During the Golden Era of the NBA you knew it was going to be the Lakers and Celtics every year. A little Philly mixed in and later Detroit and that was it. The people who say that they don't watch because they can predict who will meet in the finals wouldn't watch anyway. There is a lot of great basketball played during the regular season too. If you like basketball you will watch even when there aren't championships on the line. The Bears have stunk for many years but the threads are still filled with Bears talk because people like/love football.

I think the people who complain about basketball are people that don't particularly care for it regardless of whose playing. The predictability argument is used to mask a general dislike for it. The ratings for G.S. Cavs was the highest ratings for a finals series in 20 or 30 years. Obviously there are MANY that aren't all that turned off.

This is why hyperbole is needed when things like this are said. Like the movie Unbreakable, there must be someone out there whose sole purpose in these threads is to counter this stuff.

They will finish no lower than 2nd and they will push G.S. for the first slot. Book it!

What part of that needs to be "countered". Again watch out world and get those excuses ready.

I don't like this statement and what it now means. When you say that (not singling out NAS specifically) you are saying that business and loyalty are mutually exclusive. They're not. You can run a business and still show loyalty to people. We manage to do it at our law firm and every other business out there does it as well.

Trading Kanter isn't a sign of disloyalty.

The NBA isn't that type of business for players who aren't generational talents. You only have so much money to spend and your window to win is usually small.

Watch out world. They will go on a roll soon. Bogus call against Melo killed them tonight. It was about a 6 or 7 point swing on that one play.

Still roll with Westbrook. He has to do a better job of getting guys involved. There is a lot of "your turn" "my turn" going on. Westbrook tries to take over in the 4th and it hasn't been working. It seems like none of Paul George's shots actually come in the flow of the offense. He is scoring off of talent and ability. Melo is doing his Iso thing. He has had some success with that. Westbrook only has chemistry on offense with Adams. They have the screen roll thing down.

Roberson needs to sit. Too much of a liability on offense.
