This Fultz situation is disgraceful. Bryan Colangelo is blaming him for injuries that were apparent to everyone and the 76ers seemed willing to keep trotting him out there until his agent spoke up. This is even worse than when they tried to keep playing Embiid with a torn meniscus last year.

Is it a requirement that a 76er first round pick have a serious injury to be drafted?

Fultz should have been the 4th guy drafted.

Brett Brown cost that game. How in the hell do you have Embiid guarding Eric Gordon?

What the hell happened? It was 102-96 and I got a phone call, they lost 105-104 by the time I was off

Brett Brown had Embiid guarding Gordon on an out of bounds play with 5 seconds to go. Gordon in bounds runs to the corner. Embiid traps Harden and leaves Gordon for a wide open 3. No way should he have been guarding Gordon.

that was a great game, but so disappointing for the Sixers. they play too hard to have the record they do. Hopefully the schedule lightens up and they get some easier games. Agree that the coach isn't very good. Having Ben Simmons go iso every single play gets old as evidenced by Houston completely shutting him down towards the end of the game.

Yes. Brown can coach. They may whack him but that dude has them competing on most nights and before Embiid's injury he had them rolling.

He isn't Colangelo's hire so that is working against him. He was dealt a bad hand but he has made the most of it. If he couldn't coach they would have fired him a long time ago.

I'm a Brett Brown fan but he blew that game last night. He also is screwing up by continuing to play garbage ass Amir Johnson. No way he is better than Okafor. Shouldn't play TJ McConnell either.

so the bar i was at last night had the game on one of the NBA channels, and with that 5.6 seconds left, they cut to the NBA TV guys. when they cut back to the game, it was over 105-104. the sound was off so i have no idea why they cut away, unless there was something contractual. but that doesn't make sense.

all i know is, that's the first time i "felt" a sixers loss in years. this early in the season, that never really happens. don't make me start caring yet, damnit!

Barring injury to Embiid or Simmons they should make the playoffs. There is more than enough talent to make the playoffs.

That ups the ante. Brown and the players have to realize that. You can still see that they don't. Covington shooting ill advised 3's in crunch time and guys like McConnell just fouling guys to be fouling. Can t win playing like that.

Embiid going one on one and turning it over because he had to prove he's better than Tarik Black (who ?) That's not winning basketball.

Brown's gonna get fired. Bad assignments, poor playing time handouts.

They actually played well against the Rockets, watched the whole game...

it's the most spirited i've seen the sixers play in years. if they have a good nucleus, they can be fun to watch again. i'm at least looking forward to caring again.

If they hold on to Ben Simmons and he stays healthy you're probably looking at a couple championships over the next 10-12 years.

No he didn't. Silly fouls and when he is in the game you're playing 4 on 5 every time. He always looks guys off as if he is a No.1 or 2 option.

What? No, he doesn't. Not at all.

He played well defensively and was a good distributor, and seems to be a fine spot up shooter. He's not really that good but you lose credibility when you insist a guy who got 9 assists and 6 steals didn't play well at all.

Stats don't matter until they do apparently.

We've been over this like a hundred fucking times

Stats and watching the game go hand in hand. If you exclusively rely on one at the expense of the other, your analysis will be very flawed. Not that complicated.

McConnell isn't very good but he played pretty well last night. Why is that so hard for you to admit?

I've watched Philly for years and it's obvious that he over penetrates. He passes but the pass always come late. He pounds the ball until he ends up in a position where he can't do anything with it. He rarely advances the ball ahead if guys are running leaking out also.

Your "Ball" assessment is evidence of the proverbial low bar. To be honest I didn't really pay much attention to T.J. other than the foul on the 3 point shot. In general he stinks though. Not good enough to be a bench guy on a playoff team.

I still don't always do it, but this is the point where we just need to ignore ltg until the topic changes. He digs in more than any person I have ever seen post here. Lonzo could put up a 40-20-20 stat line next game and ltg will still say he didn't play well.

He won't. I'm trusting the Process. In order for that to continue McConnell has to be sacrificed.

ltg: T.J. doesn't look to pass first.

everyone else: no, he really does.

ltg: well, he does pass but it's after he's penetrated too far

everyone else: we'll talk amongst ourselves.

I never said he shoots a lot. I said he looks guys off. There is a difference. If you don't know what looking guys off means I don't know what to tell you. Watch him play.

Life in the NBA for Ben Simmons will get a lot tougher once opponents realize he can't shoot.
