Jaylen Brown looks great tonight. Hayward injury might be a blessing in disguise for the progress of Brown and Tatum

It might accelerate their growth but you need Hayward for the playoffs.

This year, yeah. I don't think they were ever gonna beat the Cavs regardless this year though. If Brown and Tatum can take big steps forward this year though next year might be their year.

Dunno if they couldn't have taken Cleveland, but after another Theisman like injury, we won't know this year. Probably.

Spurs looking solid so far without Kawhi. Turning down good shots for better ones is not an environment that suits Gay but he looks like he fits in.

Nets guard Jeremy Lin exited Brooklyn's season opener against the Indiana Pacers with an apparent right knee injury.

Lin was attacking the rim in the fourth quarter when he landed awkwardly along the baseline. Clutching his right knee, Lin appeared to say "I'm done, I'm done" ... before bursting into tears.

Lin was helped to the locker room but eventually limped off the floor under his own power.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Lin will undergo evaluation in New York on Thursday amid "tremendous concern."

Being an 6-8th seed in the NBA may well be "basketball hell" but it also seems to motivate these younger players to step up their regular season game after they get their first taste of playoff basketball. And so much of success in the NBA is about effort/motivation.

Bucks will be a 4th seed, or maybe even a 3rd if the Raptors fall off this season.

yeah, Bucks were the 6th seed last season. So, absent injury, that makes sense, esp if the Heat continue to struggle against lottery teams like the Magic.

Great news for Cleveland! I think they have the Nets #1 pick this year.

The Knicks should never be on national television.

The Bucks and the 76ers are the future of the eastern conference.
