The pendulum is definitely swinging towards the pro-Lonzo crowd. I’ve consistently said he will be good not great, but I think that makes me 2nd on the pro-Lonzo scale on this board next to shakes. Ltg’s gonna have a rough future in this thread.

You do realize that you are talking about guy that just scored 8 points in a game in which his team scored 131.

If you want to have credibility in this area it might be best not to do that.

Those sort of numbers are what bring on Jerian Grant like comparisons.

Compare him to Jerian Grant all you like. It’s only gonna make you look bad.

Can't be as bad as the idiot that thinks he played great while putting up Jerian Grant numbers. No Great Shakes has made a mockery of this thread.

Either he is trolling, an idiot or both. Either way its not worth the trouble. I will revisit this when he isn't the 7th best player on his own team. Too much energy spent on garbage players.

Bagels is another guy who has always been in the ProZo crowd. I appreciate both of you, but I take issue with your "good not great" stance. So only giving you partial credit cause Zo gonna be a helluva lot better than just good.

That’s fair. I like his all around game a lot. You remember I was one of the first one “he’s good defensively” bandwagon. I have worries about his ceiling. After I correctly called Rondo an all star and was laughed at by Nas I had big plans for him. Lonzo’s different but you have to score to be truly elite.

Lonzo isn’t the defender Draymond is and it’s a strange analogy but I like article I posted early in this thread about their potential value to teams.

A better Rubio. Never will be a star though. Unless he becomes the only scoring option on a 25 win team. And even then he will have bad shooting percentages and what have you.

LOL, Lonzo on a 25 win team. Like that will ever happen. He's too good to ever let a team he's on be that bad.

Zo only takes 5 shots, but that doesn't stop coach Walton from saying he was probably the best player on the floor tonight.

It also doesn't help that he's in such a tough situation to succeed. He's a pass first PG playing in a starting lineup that features a horrible center who can't rebound or run the floor and a starting SG who is the second worst offensive 2g in the NBA behind Roberson. Ingram is a pure ISO player who isn't any good yet.

I'd like to see Walton go with Ball, Clarkson, Randle, Ingram and Kuzma and just run with those guys 30+ minutes per game and see what develops.

From "tough" situation to succeed to a guy "too" good to ever just win 25 games. And the beat goes on.

As it stands now his shooting percentage is the worst of any rookie since 1951.

We were also hearing he was "great" at this stage of his career also.

Well, obviously the more shots Lonzo would take in a game the worse he would be playing. He isn't a scorer.

Once his circus of a family moved to Lithuania and the Lakers were written off, he's been playing more consistent. Circus will come back to town, though.

Lonzo Ball currently has a better 3pt% than Dennis Smith Jr., averages more blocks per game than Bam Adebayo & Lauri Markkanen, and despite playing in 15 less games this season, has more steals (58) than De'Aaron Fox (53)

He doesn't even avg a point per shot attempt and even with this latest "hot" streak he is still shooting a rather robust 36%.

The 2 guys that he was responsible for guarding both killed him last night by the way. His defensive prowess has been overstated by you all season.

The bet is already won and we are reduced to celebrating the performance of a guy that gave us 8 and 6 last night.

And you call guys like Robin Lopez bums. This is bad. Credibility on the line bad.

That dipshit is cherry picking stats, every rookie would love to take 6 weeks off n rest..these guys have never seen this many minutes. If the draft was today.. Ball doesnt even go in the top 7.

lol u tard. Love the newest excuse...Zo's stats are only good cause he took 6 weeks off for vacation.

If the draft were today he would be at worst #2, same spot he was picked.

Your boy Fox is the one who might no longer be in the top 7. How's your Fox thread going? Noticed you don't update it much. Hmm, wonder why.

The top 3 would be Mitchell, Tatum and Jackson.. Fox had 21 last night btw.

They are celebrating a guy that scored 8 and 6 last night. Sedale Threat is turning over in his grave at that thought.

Poor FF. Two the best analysts in the game Van Gundy and Jackson both stated that Kyrie Irving would be MVP if it weren't for James Harden.

Doug Collins was also fired pre dynasty. Not exactly something that blemishes his record. If Jackson coached Durant they still would win. They aren't a dynasty just yet.
