Pretty inexcusable to miss that lane violation call but its been years since the nba tried to fix a lakers game so I appreciate the nostalgia.

Wall is a solid pro but in some respects he's overrated. No way he is the best point in the game. He is nowhere in the league of Westbrook. You have to separate yourself if you're that guy. He doesn't do it enough imo.

That was a huge rebound/assist by Lonzo.

The lack of scoring ability is going to be an issue but he has a lot of time to work on that.

Yeah, as ugly as his shot is all it's gonna take is a offseason or two of 10,000 shots to get it right.

Kid looks like a legit PG tho.

Btw, Brandon Ingram looks better than I ever thought his skinny ass would.

I like Kuzma a lot. That was a steal of a draft pick

Beat pure PG in the east tho. Kyrie is close.

Westbrook is clearly on another level compared to most PGs who have ever played.

For sure. Kobe's agent got that one right.

ESPN guys to a man stated that there are no future All Stars on this Lakers team.

Michelle Beadle asked them to assume that Ball isn't on the team. Hypothetically speaking which other Lakers would they like to talk about. It seems she has tired of the hype too.

Brandon Ingram has been impressive, and he's like 20. I like his lack of fear in big situations.

Lonzo prolly get in just off the hype.

The hype is real. This team is already a lot better than last year and he's the biggest reason why.

The espn guys are probably wrong. They're not great analysts.

TNT guys were killing Ball too after that first game. Tonight he really didn't affect the game scoring, but I think we're starting to see his decision making is way more advanced than it should be at his age. He affected the game in other ways which was crucial to this Lakers win.

Lakers beat the Wizards! Lavar spoke it into existence again!

Lonzo actually played really good d the whole game. As others have said, his fault is his shooting. It's his only fault but its a pretty big one. But, luckily its also one of the easiest faults to fix. I think it will come with confidence. Once he figures out where he can get to on the court to get shots he likes he'll be good to go. Might take him a year or three to get to that comfort zone, but he's too smart and talented to not figure it out. And he's already well on his way to doing other valuable things on the court at an elite level.

He has only been impactful in one of their games.

Whenever you have to play the "intangibles" game in order to illustrate a guy's greatness then they probably aren't that good. I'm already beginning to see that with Ball. Not good.

That's simply not true. Not worth arguing about further than that.

Who's talking about intangibles?

His tangibles were terrific tonight too. He's literally good at everything except scoring and he's an all world passer.

I don't think he ever becomes a good scorer but it doesn't matter. He clearly affects the game a lot without needing to score.

I watched about half the game, and Wall and Co played incredibly tentative.

There were few possessions where Ball actually guarded Wall, that I watched.

I did watch Otto Porter torch Ball a few times. Weird game. You would think they would have, you know, played hard, the Wizards?

Very complimentary comments from Wall about Ball after the game. Seems to be a running trend. Guys get pissed off at Lavar, talk shit about Lonzo, play Lonzo and realize how awesome he is, and then after the game they pay homage to Lonzo.

He's the new face of the league, all second rate stars like Wall should pay homage to him.

BTW, where is LTG with his +/- stats from last night??? Wall with a game worst -14 and Ball with a game high +13. I guess LTG forgot his log in password.

Ben Simmons is the new face of the league. He's WAY better than Lonzo. I'm bummed as a Kawhi fanboy though because there's finally someone in the league with potential to be better than Kawhi after LeBron finally stop being the best.

Giannis already passed up Kawhi.

Simmons will never be the face of the league. Great player, but his personality is concerning. Plus he plays in Philly. Embid will always be more popular than him. Much easier to be the face of the league when you're leading the Lakers. Lonzo is quiet, but by all accounts has a great personality.

Wall played badly. They took Ball off him in the 2nd half. Fell asleep on the game after the 1st quarter. I try to roll with Wall but he isn't that guy at the PG slot. probably about 4th or 5th best. If I'm going to sick someone on another player it will never be him. He isn't a killer. Still like him as a player more than Jimmy Buckets though
