Ah he had a couple bad games, but he is still averaging 14 and 7.

No chance the 9 happens. The 18 is questionable but I could see it.

You might end up being right but so far you look wrong. Fox hasn’t been a good rookie. And he plays for the Kings, who ruin everyone.

I also don’t have a horse in this race. Lonzo has been the better rookie of the two when both play but I haven’t been impressed with either. It may seem like it when I’ve had to often correct LTG when he calls Ball a bust and a journeyman, but Ive never said I think he will be great like shakes.

You've repeatedly (and wrongfully) stated that he has been good. You also have stated that you like him. You have a horse in the race and its Ball. His numbers are akin to those of Jerian Grant.

If the trend continues that makes him a bust. He has been nowhere as good as the hype would have you believe. That makes him a bust. His numbers are also inflated because he plays more minutes than Grant.

He stinks.

Grant's per 36 stats are actually better.

It’s kinda sad you think 10-7-7 and 8-2.6-5 are equal.

I was waiting for that and you delivered. Per 36 stats don’t mean anything, except when they do. Long Time Dan Bernstein over here.

If Ball played 23 minutes per game then his stats would be worse than Grant's.

I'm using this to provide context on just how garbage Lonzo Ball happens to be. You don't have anything to suggest that he is good other than you like him.

He is utter garbage and everything from eyetest to stats is illustrative of it.

Utter garbage?

Come back to earth and then let’s talk.

10-7-7 with good defense for a rookie who’s missed 1/3rd of the season due to injury is far from garbage.

He is shooting 35% from the field (up from 29%) and its no one's fault that he was hurt either. He was playing garbage before he was injured that is no excuse.

7 assists are nothing for a guy touted to be an elite passer. He also isnt all that good defensively. You're reaching. The disparity between offensive and defensive were the worst of any of the Laker starters also.

Since you continually duck J. Grant i will provide the comp for a guy that has turned out to be a journeyman

Another fantastic game in limited minutes for journeyman/bust/poor man's MCW Lonzo tonight!

13pts on PERFECT shooting, 7 boards, 5 assists and 3 steals.

misses 6 weeks and hasn't missed a beat. also, his 3pt shooting % continues to rise at a rapid rate.

really a joy to watch play.

Rough night for Ltg. He must thank god daily for that 6 week injury.

At the rate Lonzo has steadily improved all season, i can't even imagine how good he would be right now if he didn't have the 6 weeks off.

The game was over before he ever entered it.

New narrative. Oh but for the injury.

Also whatever happened to those terrible ball stopping teammates of his? Remember when it was not so long ago that everyone on the team (conveniently except him) was garbage? Remember when it was impossible for him to win with them? Remember when they had no chance of winning when he doesn't play?

This thing is so laughable at this point that it isn't a conversation anymore. I love the whole if he hadn't gotten hurt garbage too.

At no point this season has he looked like one of the better rookies.

The have "no dog in the fight" angle ain't flying either. You've been in the tank for him since day one. You've feigned impartiality but you've been Team Ball since the beginning of the season.

Remember you placed a bet on him. In addition you do realize that they beat a team in the midst of tanking? Easy win over a garbage team and shouldn't we all just be oh so impressed.

I can imagine what he'd have been without the injury. About the 12th best rookie. I wonder where we'd be as a country if he hadn't been so hyped.

One of the Best Analysts in the game Sam "The Man" Mitchell just called Brandon Ingram the "True face of the franchise". MANY others have also echoed similar sentiments.

Cool Hand Luke Walton also made a subtle adjustment about 10 games ago which may have long term effects for the franchise and by osmosis the garbage Ball.

He placed Brandon (Face of the franchise) Ingram at the 1. This change has continued since Ball has been back from injury. Ball has come off the bench since his return from injury. May not mean anything long term but then again it just may mean that they are beginning to sour on him.

Franchise guys never come off the bench. Doesn't matter if they are returning from injury or not.

The two leading Ball advocates on this board have been wrong about him at every interval. They have have been relegated to weak and rather lame arguments at this point. "If only he hadn't missed those 3 games 2 weeks ago he'd be first team All NBA".

Men of their basketball ilk should be better than that but i guess they aren't. That job has been left to me and 312 to provide clarity and sanctity for this here board. Everyone is better off for it also    .

So this is what it has come too? He has gone from stud/ROY/First Team all rookie to a guy that takes solace in having "renewed confidence". I'm still wondering which critics that he has silenced also. He is looking like the 10th best rookie (at best) at this point. His coach has taken to playing a guy out of position just to see what he has. The team has played better in his absence and he has come off the bench since returning yet it is a great thing because he has "renewed confidence".

Lonzo back in the starting lineup tonight, hopefully off the minutes restrictions. Looks like Cuntbag was wrong again.

"back in" illustrates that he was previously "out of". From the idiot that had him

1. Rookie of the year (wrong)

2. League leader in assist (wrong)

3. Stud (wrong)

4. Best player on the team (wrong)
This is truly rich. Continue to keep me on "ignore" also

Your thoughts on this bum have been horrifically wrong and you are now reduced to arguing that he won't be a bust.

May be time to tap out Barry Horowitz style you clown.

another tentative game for Lonzo. as the announcers kept saying, he needs to be more assertive. It's really only a confidence issue. Plus he is deferring way too much to teammates. But, other than that he played pretty good. Real solid defensively again, did a great job on Lillard when he was matched up on him.

His talents for pushing the ball are wasted on this team. He does a great job head manning the ball on the break, but then the guy who gets it invariably decides to stop at the top of the key and dribble a bunch of times which allows the D to catch up. KCP is fucking brutal to watch on the offensive side of the ball. IMO he should just stay on the D side of the ball and not even bother coming down court for offense.

The one silver lining last night was Larry Nance getting hurt. Now Walton will have no choice but to start Kuzma.

As the pros have said, Lonzo needs a few times around the league to get comfortable. I'm looking forward to next year when he gets to throw passes to Paul George and probably someone else who can play as well.

He scored 0 points, had 4 assists, and 3 rebounds. He sucked last night. Lillard had 32 points, 5 assists, and 6 rebounds. He destroyed Ball.

Julius Randle just another of those "terrible"" iso" teammates, avg 20 per game during the month of February. I wonder how he was able to accomplish that without Lonzo Ball leading the way.

Another great game for Zo. 8 points on 3/5 shooting, 2/3 from 3 with the only miss being a contested shot he was forced into by a bad pass from Ingram. Along with the points he also stuffed the stat sheet with 6 boards, 7 assists, 2 turnovers, career high 6 steals and led the team with +24.

His early steals and rebounding really set the tone and got the team out and running.

Think they said the team has won 6 straight with Zo in the lineup.

Still disappointed to see the ridiculous number of Lakers players who want to bring the ball up the floor. Really annoying to see 4 lakers standing around the baseline asking for the inbound pass. They'll be a better team when they eventually commit to letting Zo run the show fully and the other guys just bust their ass running down the floor.
