Stats and eye test disagree with you. Oh well.

Anyway, one thing I've noticed about Lonzo is he doesn't help himself out when it comes to getting easy buckets. He almost never moves without the ball.

Tim Legler mentioned this: can he dribble right off a ball screen and pull up? His right arm has to go to the left side of his head to shoot.

I don't think he can. The only shot that I ever see him attempt off the dribble is the step back where he is going left.

I still like Lonzo but the free throw thing annoys me more than the FG%. You're not Shaq. Make your fucking free throws, kid.

Russell Westbrook is 13 for 42 is his last 2 games. 13 points on 22 shots tonight. Once again Paul George doesn't touch the ball during the 4th qtr. Melo 28 points. Yeah he really is hurting them.

Couple things here.

Melo played well. I watched the second half and he was good tonight. But this was also tied for his best scoring and shooting night of the season. So it doesn't really impact the posts made prior to this game. Sorry. His three games prior to this he had 16 points on 4-17 shooting, 15 points on 5-10 shooting, and 10 points on 3-17 shooting. It's funny you ignore all those and try to play "gotcha" about one game against a Denver team that has Gary Harris as it's only wing defender.

I agree Westbrook hurts the team in a lot of games, like tonight. You'll never see Steph take 22 shots and end up with only 13 points.

That's not true about Harris being their only defender. Barton is a wing defender and so is Milsap essentially. You're wrong about that.

The problem with OKC is that their offense stagnates during the 4th quarter. One of the main reasons has to do with Westbrook attempting to play hero ball during each and every 4th quarter. 1 for 8 during the 4th quarter tonight. In a game in which you don't have it going you have to get guys involved. That is the point guard's job. They don't even look for George during the 4th quarter. Happens every game. It becomes Iso Westbrook with a little Melo mixed in.

Westbrook cannot be the high shot guy with the game he had tonight.

Be that as it is I'm still rolling. I think they will figure it out. If they aren't 2nd seed in the West I'd surprised. I'd also be wrong.

Real nice game for Lonzo last night in the rematch vs Wall. 10/8/8. Still shot poorly and shooting way too many threes, but like every game he had a handful of highlight reel plays that show a glimpse of his true talent.

I'd like to see him stop shooting the 3s and start working on a mid range game. Build his confidence up from the rim out and then once he gets confident with shots he can move back and start taking more 3s.

One of the guys pushed this shit my way and I ran with it. I actually double checked and told him it was bogus. I didn't bother to delete it.

Yahoo answers was the best i could do on short notice.

Seriously not all of the sources are shady. Some just use it as a means of deflecting.

To be honest any source can be discredited if that is a person's angle.

I know the people on here that will invariably play that card regardless of whether it's a credible source or not.

Journeyman having a pretty good game in Milwaukee. First half stats: 11 points with only missed shot being a forced shot clock beater, 6 boards, 10 assists, 0 turnovers. Might be one turnover, tried to force a pass at the very end.

Yeah he's killing it. Closing in on a triple double now with a lot left.

Probably will have him in the hall of fame after tonight. Much like Barney Rubble, who could only sing in the shower it appears that he only looks like an NBA player when he plays against Bledsoe. He is playing well tonight though.

G.S. M.O. is to spar with you in the first half and stretch you out in the 2nd. Happens every game.

Lonzo Bust became the youngest player in NBA history to record a triple double, edging out some guy name Lebron James by 5 days.

Here are the final stats for the journeyman:

19 pts, 7/12 fg, 12 boards, 13 assists, 4 to, 3 blocks, 3 steals.

I knew when he hit his first shot attempt that he was going to have a big game, That was exactly what he needed to get going and it was the first time all season he's done that.

Seems like a bust to me

Now look at the rookie comparison of "Stud" Ball and a guy that is now on his 4th team.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/pl ... emi01.html

Journeyman MCW posted much better numbers as a rookie.

One thing that we've learned during this thread is that in certain quarters Ball will never have a terrible game. When he scores 0 points with a small number of assists it is considered great. When he has a triple double its also considered great.

Another good game by Lonzo. Played well in the 4th even though he didn't play a single second of the quarter. Looked extremely well as he jumped off the bench to greet his teammates with the proverbial chest bump. He also looked well as he proceeded to place the warm up back on for the last time. His contributions during that last pd of the game really helped spur the team to victory.

His shooting percentage for the game (30%) was consistent with shooting percentage for the season (30%) and consistency is never exactly a bad thing. Ball also continued to stuff the stat sheet. His 7 point 5 assist 5 rebound effort is the most by any rookie since, well last week. As I've continued to tell you you have to wait 10 years in order to really assess whether Lonzo Ball will be a bust or not. If he continues to post stats such as these there is no way in hell that he will ever work at the local food for less. Journeyman you say? No way no how. If he continues to post stellar numbers there is absolutely no way that his career won't parallel that of the great Cameron Payne.

Lonzo 2pts through 3 quarters and hasn't entered the game in the 4th yet.

LTG gets a victory lap tomorrow. Shakes needs to do the right thing and let him have it.
