So you're saying Lavar might be gone in 3 years? I like it.

I think he was on CNN this morning? And he will, unfortunately, still be able to find himself in front of the media even if he can't do it at Staples.

I wish he was gone.

I suppose as long as Lonzo's in the league, you're probably right. Even if he sucks, Lavar still has an "in" with the media.

Lavar Ball will be a guest on Inside the NBA later this afternoon on Sirius XM.

Just read a report that the 2 younger Ball kids signed with Lonzo's agent and therefore forfeited their college eligibility.

That sucks, was hoping to see the youngest play some college.

I guess with the Dad having some money and the oldest making NBA dollars the family can blaze a new trail. Let the kids train and learn in various different ways and leagues. Easier to find new ways to the NBA when the rest of your family isn't starving etc.

so wait...his dad wants them to sign with an agent so they can all play...on the same team? In the NBA? Wut?

Why play a year or 2 in college for free? Just go to Europe or the D league and play better competition and get a salary.

Well the middle son is not even a good European league prospect. The younger one projects to be good but is a Junior in High School. Can't see any decent team allowing the spectacle of having both players when there are restrictions on how many Americans you can have on a team.

This is a good thought 312. I agree.

The youngest sucks ass, too. He is a high ranked prospect, but he literally doesn't even step foot on the defensive end of the floor. He won't make it in any league.

The middle kid is as good as any of us at basketball. He isn't even good at stealing. HIs eyebrow game is way off. Don't see many future prospects for him.

Yep. UCLA would never have recruited the middle kid if it were based solely on his ability to play basketball. He stinks and the youngest son is about to flame out. Undersized shooting guard lacking in athletic ability.

Lavar Ball is a damn train wreck. i never blamed him for the way he handled Lonzo but he is absolutely ruining the other two. He doesn't want anyone other than himself coaching his kids. The other two aren't good enough to play in the NBA. The thief will be working at the local Culver's sooner rather than later and youngest son will have a cup of coffee in the lower of the European leagues.

Guy thinks he is the reason for Lonzo being good. Not Lonzo himself. Thinks he can just will his kids to be NBA players.

Look, the dad said all 3 will be on the Lakers. He didnt say play. One can be a hot dog vendor, the other selling shirts at the concession stand, and maybe if they keep Lonzo around, the only player on the bench.

btw i read a quote from Lonzo. It was the poorest English I've read in a while. Kudos to the UCLA english dept.

fantastic game for Lonzo tonight in Philly.

8 rebounds
8 assists including game winner

Yeah he played so well that Reggie Miller chose to ignore him the entire game. Spent the whole game touting the budding stardom of Brandon Ingram.
It's extremely evident at this point that this kid isn't that guy.

The Bust tag will be a matter of conjecture and relativity going forward. I'm extremely comfortable with my assessment of him at this point. I've pretty much moved on from him. If he turns into something special then cool I will just have to be proven wrong. The "Ball" watch is over for me.

He isn't worth the energy. He blows.

I do think you get too hyperbolic regarding Lonzo. That’s a fantastic game for him but it would be one if Ben Simmons worst games of the season.

That's a fantastic game for ANY rookie other than Simmons and it would be considered a good game for Simmons as well. He's had plenty of games worse than that. You could argue that his game last night was worse than Lonzo's for instance. He had 13 boards and 15 assists which is great, but he also had 4 turnovers, 0 steals and 1 block so I think that evens him out compared to Lonzo's great all around game last night.

That said there's no point to compare Lonzo or any other first year rookie to Simmons who is clearly at a different level. But how about comparing Lonzo to the other rooks out there such as Fox who MANY said they would take over Lonzo. 20 games into the season and he's being completely outplayed by Frank Mason, a 2nd rounder.

I've become convinced this season that KCP misses shots on purpose when Lonzo passes to him. As for Brook Lopez, I don't think he misses shots on purpose, he just sucks ass. But KCP, I've had my eye on him for quite some time now.

How about the game for Lonzo last night? Another gem. 17pts on 6/13 shooting, 8 boards, 6 assists, 1 turnover, 2 steals and a block, not to mention a thunderous alley oop dunk when he was in the process of scoring 10 straight in the 3rd quarter. OVer his past 6 games his shooting has gone up to the point where he's now elevated his shooting from historically bad to just plain mediocre.

7th in the league in assists. leads his team in rebounding as PG. IN fact, leads every NBA guard in the league in rebounding. he's 23rd in the league in assists to turnvoers. Nearest rookie is Frank Mason who ranks 67th.

If Lonzo keeps developing he'll be right there in the ROY race. I personally feel that the ROY race should borrow from gymnastics and assign start values to every rookie's season. The fact is that Lonzo is the most hyped rookie since Lebron, he plays the hardest position in the NBA during a time when that position is flourishing with stars, the off court stuff with his family, the boos in every arena. There may not have been a rookie in the history of the league that has had a tougher start value to his season. What Lonzo is doing with the pressure on him has been nothing short of amazing. The poise he has shown on the court is something no 20 year old should possess.

Comparing Lonzo to other rookies who have it much easier isn't really fair.

Lonzo has converted on at least 40% of his shot attempts in 5 of the past 6 games.

Some nice comments from Lebron on his future(?) teammate.

Everyone who plays against him has really nice things to say about him. Last night it was Porzingus. And today Lebron.
