For almost a decade now LeBron's people in the media have been punishing Gilbert for James' narcissism and incompetence. |

This was how i remembered it reported at the time. https://www.fearthesword.com/2017/7/22/ ... de-request Windhorst is the one person in the media that really has ties to James. Its no accident that he was the one to first report the trade request either. That was leaked by Lebron no doubt. Windhorst mother was Lebron James's fourth or fifth grade teacher. His ties to Lebron is the primary reason that he got the ESPN gig I'm sure. |

The basketbloggers and media are never going to chose a white owner over a black athlete, especially their precious lerb, so Gilbert gets railroaded for all the bullshit James pulls. |

I don’t think it’s a mutually exclusive thing. The Decision and The Letter are both all time embarrassing PR moments deserving of years of mocking. |

Well here's a take for you then, LeBron running Kyrie out of town is worse than both. |

This is quality schadenfreude. they're trying to get more scoring...Rodney Hood, I like him too. Wade and Rose are useless, so this may end up working enough to get them through to one more finals. Hmmm. I like Hood too but nah, they are done this year. No chance of a Finals return. Fail |

I love how ESPN likes to point out funny details like this *********************************************** Irving was traded from the Cavs to the Boston Celtics on August 22, 2017. On that day, Vardon said James was signing jerseys in Santa Monica, California when then-coach Tyronn Lue came to see him. Lue had found out that the Cavs were about to trade Irving, and so he drove to see James with the intent of putting him and new GM Koby Altman on the phone. James was adamant on the call — do not trade Irving, especially to the Celtics. By the end of the call, according to four separate accounts of people present for the conversation, Altman told James the trade would not occur. But just a few minutes later, news of the Irving trade broke. The Cavs had gone through with it despite James’ strong desire for Irving to stay in Cleveland. James’ close friend, Randy Mims, and bodyguard Rob Brown came to him with their phones to show him the news. James, who was still signing jerseys, dropped the pen and slumped in his chair. |

veganfan21 wrote: Had it from the start: whiny little bitch He needs to shut the fuck up and play but the most despicable thing this year by far has been Lebron's pandering in the hopes of acquiring free agents bullshit. Openly recruiting guys during the season is much worse than anything Kyrie Irving is doing. Thats some gutless shit. |

Quote: According to a report by Jay King of The Athletic, the Lakers and the Celtics are favorites to land David if he requests a trade from New Orleans in the near future but Boston has an inside track to the former No. 1 overall pick through Kyrie Irving.
Several league sources have said they believe Davis could end up either with the Celtics or Lakers if the Pelicans were to move him. If he landed with the Celtics, he’d be reunited with former Team USA teammate Irving. The two have already spoken about what it would be like to play together in Boston, according to a league source. |

A lot of the younger guys are playing for their next contract. That playoff run last season gave someone a false sense of reality. They aren't making any noise without Kyrie Irving. East is better this year. |

Isn't this at least some kind of indictment on Stephens ? That he can't manage the roster ? |
