I feel bad for D-Rose.

I would say that he should try using some illegal substances to get healthy again, but I'm thinking he either already has tried that, or dabbling in such potions-of-motion is what has made him so brittle in the first place.

I've suspected drug use for a while with him. His behavior is too erratic and strange. Plenty of guys cannot stay healthy but they continue collecting NBA checks because NBA checks are very nice livings. Rose cant seem to do that.

I hope he gets himself together, but he's becoming an intriguing death pool candidate for 2018.

He just did this so he can go back to Chicago and hang with Mom and his brothers while he's hurt. Instead of being around the team which is what all injured players are required to do.

Remember that piece that came out a while back, maybe his rookie or sophomore year. Derrick mentioned HGH was a huge problem. He said many NBA players take it. Always wonder how his career would have gone had he taken some of that. Also, had he not wore shoes that weigh 2 ounces.

Just a shame. He should have owned this city. I had seats behind the basket one year at the UC. I couldn't believe his speed and ability to contort his body in the air. He would go in between all those bigs and still finish nicely at the rim. TV never did his game justice. It would have helped to have better folks around him. I wish him well.

It felt weird to me at the time, before the 2010-2011 season, his 3rd in the league, whence he all of a sudden declares that he is going to be the MVP. This after heading out west to "train" in the offseason. I thought back then that he had probably been juicing. Only a drastic change like that would give him such newfound confidence. It would also explain the weakness at the joints. You can't build the intersections like you can the highways.

Didn't he already do this? people get mad when they see me sit out. But I think a lot of people don’t understand that when I sit out, it’s not because of this year. I’m thinking about long term. Read on ESPN he has a $80 Million shoe deal that if he quits, he loses like 50 mil from. How many times has this guy just quit on a team? It's more than just once right? You get paid millions. How hard is it to just sit your ass in nice dress clothes while you recover. Dont' understand what in these athletes heads. How does someone walk away from 80 mil? The majority of people hate or don't like their jobs, but they show up every day regardless and they're not making 80 mil.

Not only is body fragile but so is his psyche. He's way below-average in intelligence and he has been pampered his whole life. He soft, selfish, mentally weak, not a battler and definitely not a leader or a team-player. I don't feel sorry for him at all. Wish his talent was given to someone who was tougher.

I can respect his decision and actions. Issues with mental health can affect anyone. I don't think he has explained himself well in the past but if he wants to walk away then walk away. If he is in a place where he doesn't care about 50 mil and just going through the motions to get it then he has problems money can't fix. Just get well man. I was pissed when he crapped out with the bulls but that ship has sailed. He doesn't seem right. He hasn't seemed right for a while. This isn't a cocksucking piece of shit like Marty Bennett playing the media and his peers to get his way like a 4 year old infantile.
