Why? Their voices absolutely mean a lot.

Sure their voices me a lot, but many times they see things completely selfishly. A good coach is not judged just through the eyes of the best player, but by the entire team

IDK man. Shaq Kobe and MJ credited Jackson for a lot. I'd take that over what Stacey King has to say about not playing under pj.

Kobe endorsed Phil Jackson AFTER Phil wrote a book in which he publicly said he wasn't surprised Kobe would rape somebody.

That's loyalty my friends.

LeBron knows the game. He isn't just a "I need to get mines" scorer.

Interesting observation and that's not how Stevens spells his name asshole

I don't really understand the logic of putting Spolestra top 5 but not Kerr. I think Kerr's benefited from having really great assistants (like that undermining malcontent Ron Adams) and has been in a good situation overall. Still, what he did in 2015 with a Warriors team not expected to do much is significantly more impressive than what Spolestra's done without Lebron.

That’s a fair point but I don’t really agree. Yeah the 2015 Warriors weren’t expected to win the title, but in hindsight they had either the most talented team in the league or the 2nd most talented team. I think Spoelstra has done very well with very limited talent post-LeBron.

Doc Rivers is a better coach than the vastly overrated Thibs whom you love.

Yeah, it's hard to argue now. I guess it was more of "perfect coach for the right team at the right time" a la Ditka than it was Doc actually being a good coach.

Luke Walton coached GS to 24~0 in Kerr's absence.

I'll revise my post here. I think he did what he could in Orlando. Those were some unheralded teams except for mcgrady and obviously Hill was dead weight. But he went 500 once and generally made his team competitive. In Boston he did what he was supposed to do with that team twice. I believe they would have won a second time had Perkins not been injured. They lost kg the third year and understandably fell short. In la I think he's been a disappointment. One or two of those Clipper teams should have made the finals. He squandered the best years of Paul's career. He also put his personal interests ahead of the team's best interests by acquiring his son in a trade just to save his son's career. Totally inexcusable and he should have been terminated for even suggesting that, let alone executing it.

If guy is constantly injured as Paul and Griffin were, how is that the coach's fault?

How is losing to a Lakers team with more talent underachieving? (In 7 on the road at that)

Guy is a helluva coach and his winning percentages as a coach reflects that.

After the Blake Griffin trade. You gotta be able to coach star players in order to win big. His big 3 in Boston were throwback players. The stars of today are entirely different.
