The only thing he is better at is efficiency, which is huge, but Embiid can have a bigger impact on a game. I think they're dead even if both are healthy, but we know Embiid is never 100%, so yeah, Jokic has legs that work so much more of the time than Embiid.

Embiid is no doubt the better player. He is the league MVP. and the only reason Philly is considered to be a title contender. He has nowhere the supporting cast that the Joker has.

Disagree entirely. Dickey Simpkins thinks Jokic is superior and it's not even close.

Joel Embiid is "quietly" having one of the most dominant seasons in NBA history offensively. He is currently avg. more than a point per minute. Something even Michael Jordan didn't do. Last player to accomplish this feat? Wilt Chamberlain.

New rule. He has to play in 65 games to be eligible for MVP. He's done it twice in 9 years.

He’s done well against Jokic but hasn’t played in Denver since 2019

Generational running from the grind

Those guys play 82 games, not 60. My general thought is Embiid has to start playing games with ouchies because come playoff time, those can't be a factor. You can't get used to only playing when you're 100% because when shit really counts, ouchies shouldn't even enter your mind. This whole, "i'm dinged up so I'm not at an optimum" has to change before he becomes an all time great.

Every time he participates in a basketball game the guy is hurt in one way or another. And that has nothing to do with his numbers. That is quite an accomplishment no matter how it is spun.

Gotta defer to Simpkins here, he played and would know . Jokic is king.

Any direct quotes from Dickey or is it just simply better to take the word of a "dick" as the gospel truth? Just Asking Questions

Why is Embiid scared to play in Denver?

I don't know if that is truly the case or social media clap trap. By Woj's account he wanted to go Saturday and the medical staff held him out. He outplays Jokic Pretty consistently when they matchup head to head and Philly also wins the majority of the games as well. He has thoroughly dominated Jokic in their last 2 head to heads. I don't know if he is ducking him but he does need to play in Denver at some point. I actually hope both make it to the finals so we can see them go at it on the ultimate stage.

I’m glad Woj clarified that’s it’s the reigning MVP Joel Embiid and not a different Joel Embiid.
