Robert Horry isn't better than Charles Barkley because he has 7 rings and Steve Kerr isn't better than Chris Paul because of it either. Michael Porter. JR or Andrew Wiggins also aren't better than Jayson Tatum as a result of this either.

At this point it's evident that Embiid is the better player. No doubt about that.

Nice try. I'm not counting rings. I'm talking about players that were the leader on their team that won rings. Specifically between the two of them.

You're not talking about rings, you're just talking about rings. They defeated a mediocre Miami team in order to accomplish this. Not the Showtime Lakers and the Fact remains that Embiid is on his way to a 2nd Consecutive MVP award. That's nothing to sneeze at.

Jokic already has 2 MVPs.

Not the last 2. And Even one of those was supposed to go Embiid's way. Embiid is clearly the better player given this.

Embiid didn't get past that "mediocre Miami team". And save your bum leg bullshit. You either lead your team to a championship or you don't. History is filled with great regular season players.

He didn't play against Miami last season and again Championships aren't exactly the best way to determine individual success. If it were Andrew Wiggins would be considered a better player than Jayson Tatum

Embiid won last year because of a media campaign and Jokic fatiuge.

Can you win more than a round in the playoffs with Embiid as your best player? The answer so far is no.

I love Embiid. He's a joy to watch and a bit of a throwback. But if I got 82 games plus playoffs, I'm taking Jokic because he stays healthy.

It's convenient to say that but it is devoid of factual evidence. Embiid is currently the best player in the league. He was arguably the best player in the league the last 2 seasons as well. No one is throwing that label at the Joker these days.

If you were to look at the top 4 contending teams from both Conferences, you'd see that by far Philly has the weakest starting 5 of the 8 teams you select. The ONLY reason Philly is even in the Conversation is due to Joel Embiid..

Nah. He isn't. Embiid is currently the best player in the NBA.

127-127 00:04 on the clock:

DEN 130 GSW 127 FINAL

horseshoe up the butt shot...what the hell, throw the ball toward the basket, ball's gotta come down somewhere, and maybe it'll lucky bounce through the hoop:

Image

and why didn't they run a delayed double @Jokic? Once Jokic puts it on the floor send a 2nd guy at him, not enough time to pass out of the double and get a shot up.
Not sure who Klay was covering on that play even, just playing safety in the middle of the floor? Wiggins was back covering the basket. I dunno.

Warriors up 121-103 with 7 minutes to go and they lose 130-127

i'd like to see them go against each other in a NBA Finals situation; but Embiid's health is always a question mark.

the year Iverson was MVP he took the team to the Finals on his back.

That year was the worst Eastern Conference Season in NBA history. And there isn't even a close second. And Embiid's winning percentage during the regular season and playoffs easily dwarfs Iverson's. The only year in which they had the best team was the year that they had Embiid, Buckets, A Young Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris. Unfortunately they had a shitty coach in Brett Brown. Nick Nurse is one of the best in the game and I actually think that they have a real shot this season but Morey has to make a move to get another scorer. I'm not sold on Maxey as a viable #2 scorer. He has some expiring contracts to play with and solid role players, but he has to get a #2 or another scorer. And then look out.

they definitely need to get deeper. but Embiid staying healthy is the only way they win a ring in any reality.

Yeah I agree. And I think if he doesn't do it by the End of Next Season he isn't going to do it. Not as the team's best player anyway. Body will probably start betraying him by then. All indications are that Morey is gearing up for this summer's free agent class but if he is that's a mistake imo. He has expiring contracts that he can use for another team's salary dump. He should do that instead of ceding the year because I don't think Embiid has too Many more great ones left given his injury history.

if wemby is anything at all effective guarding joel fucking embid it's a catastrophic problem with the offensive rules.

Yeah I felt bad watching the kid have to guard him last night. It looked like torture for the kid. Too light in the load and Embiid posted on nearly every play. Just straight bullied him as he should. The kid really should be playing the 3 because he has no bulk or girth whatsoever.

New rule. He has to play in 65 games to be eligible for MVP. He's done it twice in 9 years.

He’s done well against Jokic but hasn’t played in Denver since 2019

According to Woj Philly's medical staff held him out after he complained out knee soreness in the pre game shoot around.

Yeah don't know why they'd think that after watching the Joker be thoroughly dominated by Embiid the last 2 times they've gone head to head. Stupid them.

The only thing he is better at is efficiency, which is huge, but Embiid can have a bigger impact on a game. I think they're dead even if both are healthy, but we know Embiid is never 100%, so yeah, Jokic has legs that work so much more of the time than Embiid.
