If I wanted to watch a bunch of dopes miss 3-pointers, I'd fucking watch Loyola.

That LeBron wants to play is making this a game

He's going strong. I thought he was done a few years ago when they had to prop him up at the Finals.

Easily.

The Embiid/Westbrook stuff has been great.

And the reverse oop Russ set LeBron up for was one of the best plays I've seen.

I think they should do the draft 60 minutes before the game, but instead of someone simply being named a team leader, throw all their names in a hat (or what have you), and the first two drawn are the first to pick. Then, after the 'leader' picks someone, the person he picked will choose next, and so on and so forth.

Just saw only the last 1:30. Looked like a lot of fun. I like this concept instead of east vs west.

I think LeBron said he wished the draft was right before the game, just like in pickup ball.

But I wouldn't make it random. Let the captains pick. Thats how you create instant animosity. It would be perfect..

But yea, great all star game last night and I hope it continues. That was the right mix of will and entertainment. They weren't trying so hard that injury was likely, but they weren't making it easy to pull off trick plays either. Was fun.

Right up there with the 1987 Game where the West was lead by home town hero Tommy C

You do in fact know that it was a good game when people were (rightly) complaining about the refs.

Jimmy Butler will never make another All-star team with this format. No one will want him on their team.

Um... Steph and LeBron had a pool of players to pick from. It’s not like they could just pick whoever they wanted. Of course Butler will make it again next year barring injury or a significant drop in play.
