Kawhi looks to be gone. Show me a hero and I’ll write you a tragedy.

Who ya got for me?

I’m leaning towards Donovan Mitchell.

Can’t do it. He’s the new LeBron. Fuck him. Same with the 76ers guys.

Ideally Jokic would get traded to SA and all of this would solve itself.

I’ve always liked the Jazz a bit though and Mitchell is going to be a bonafide superstar.

Oladipo is another strong candidate. Love his game.

As of right now it’s a toss up between Mitchell and Devin Booker. Need to try to find a more under the radar guy though.

Booker is phenomenal though. 5x future all star minimum barring injury

And as Bob knows, I still reserve the right to ask this thread be deleted and retain Kawhi as my guy going forward at any point.

Giannis is not only the future of the NBA but he's also the future of basketball. Saying he cannot "accept the minutes" is nonsense. So far in his career he's accepted and excelled at everything thrown at him. He's proven not only to be a freak of nature athletically but also in regards to his work ethic as well. He's a very special player and person.

He's the next LeBron in the terms of talent, I believe he will lead the league for the next decade plus. But he's also a genuinely nice, humble guy that is easy to root for.

Devin Booker. Been in the league 3 seasons and still just 21.

Basketball in the desert will be a lot of fun if they land a top 5 pick (bring Marvin Bagley home) to join Booker and Josh Jackson (playing much better recently).

There is nothing about the Greek Freak that says Lebron James. They both are top 5 players. That is about it.

First of all, he does not have the talent of Lebron.

Second, he plays for the Bucks.

No thanks.

I'm a Booker guy too but i need to see him do more than score. Don't know if he is "build around guy". Same with Mitchell.

You can build around Embiid. I think Simmons also. Definitely Embiid..There isn't another guy 23 or younger that you can say that about.

Other than Greek Freak.

Wait this post might change my mind.

You don’t think he has multiple MVP potential and is likely to realize it?

Oh he is great. May win a few MVPs.

But that does not make him Lebron. l dont even like Lebron but he is going to end his career as a top 3 all time player. Greek Freak wont be in that picture when all is done.

Well that’s wrong. I mean yeah they aren’t the same guy. LeBron is 10x better of a passer, Giannis is more physically dominant (and yes I realize LeBron is the most physically dominant player since Shaq, this is the whole reason for the conversation). Giannis seems to be better at finishing and looks to have the defensive potential LeBron only showed for a short 4-5 years.

They’re different players but Giannis can absolutely own the league. He’s that good.

He's just about 7 ft tall and he's put on a ton of muscle to his 23 year old frame. When he first appeared he resembled Brandon Ingraham and now he resembles a somewhat slimmer young LeBron James. He appears to have a stunning work ethic for such an exceptionally talented young man.

Most people had him as the consensus 2 years ago. A year ago during our discussion I made it clear he would surpass Butler. Stop trying this dumbass argument. I said the argument was at the moment and you were wrong in the moment. Everyone always agreed Giannis would be a superstar by the beginning of last season.

Lonzo is a good player and will continue being a good player. He’s not a superstar though. Mitchell and Booker will be.

What i like about him is that he used to come at Lebron even before he became established. That was the thing that made me believe he was going to be for real.

He used to give Lebron that work as they say.

Agreed. Kawhi, Butler, and Draymond were all the same way. Guys like Lance Stephenson try and fail, but generally it’s a good indicator of a budding star.

I don't recall any of that. He was better at the time. Using your logic he only became better than Butler in what March or April of Last year. Maybe June or July when neither were playing.

Ball stinks. Absolutely stinks each of the guys that i believed would be better are better. Summer league told me that.

Oh yeah, summer league told you he sucked right?

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nba.co ... eague-most

Anyway, I look forward to this in the coming years. I’ve consistently said he won’t be a star but he will be good and it looks like that will be the case.

There were only 3 young guys that i can remember actually coming at Lebron offensively. George Leonard and the Greek Freak.

Those 3 challenged him in the way you were supposed to challenge a guy. Guard on Defense and come at him on offense.

Butler would challenge him on D but he didn't have enough as a young player offensively. He would take the cover though.
