Stephon Marbury?

Stephon Marbury was a multiple time all star player. No way he was a bust and if Young has his career he needs to be saluted.

I can't go bust on Marbury. He was a really good player at his best who had some mental issues that eventually ruined his career.

I agree. It's safe to say if Young, as a rookie, averages 7 or 8 assists, barring injury, he will have a decent career.

I wouldn't put it so black and white. Numbers can be empty. I'd want to see the context of those numbers and how his career will unfold before saying one way or the other. Good thing for us NBA fans is we get to see exactly that!

29 points for Walker on 12/22 shooting.

yes, he's probably 1st team all NBA so far this year. Like I said, Trae held his own. Didn't outplay him, but played well vs him.

FYI, Trae is 4th in the entire league in finishing at the rim. I doubt anyone saw that coming.

Who is first team all NBA? Walker?

I know it's crazy to say the guy who is 2nd in the league in scoring is probably headed towards 1st team all NBA.

Bust Young with another awful performance, this time vs Lebron and the Lakers. 20 pts on 8/18 shooting to go along with 12 assists. Had a buzzer beater attempt for the win, but Tyson Chandler just got a finger tip on the layup attempt.

This might be one of my favorite Bulls moments of all time. Pippen stuffed him like 3 times in 4 about seconds.

With similar volume, Trae has been more efficient in isolation than the following players: Kawhi Leonard, Lillard, DeRozan, Blake Griffen, paul George and Kyrie Irving.

Grant got one of those blocks, wasn't all Pippen.

Remember it like yesterday, after it was over me and buddy hopped in the car and drove into the city to see GG Alen in concert at the Congress Theatre a week before he died.

What a night!

Same thing will happen here as well. Trae Young and his fucked up shot selection and decision making killed them down the stretch the other night. Just didn't feel like commenting at the time.

He can really dish and also negotiate traffic. Mistake to double team him as the Clips did. Should just lay off him and let him shoot.

The assists are only going to go up now that John Collins is back. Still not starting and still on a minutes restriction, him and Trae are already showing tremendous chemistry. I think it's a given that Trae is going to lead the NBA in assists sooner rather than later.

My favorite part of last night was how he made Beverly his bitch in the first quarter. Beverly tried his bully routine on Trae and Trae lit him up for 10/4 in the quarter and also talked a lot of shit to himi. Beverly didn't see much if any time guarding Trae the rest of the game. Elite lockdown defender my ass.

Clippers head coach Doc Rivers said:

Man, he’s really good. Really tough. You know, it’s funny. He’s slight, but he’s very physical for a guard that slight. He’s going to be really good. They’re young. They’re going to be good. Lloyd has done a terrific job with them. The more talent you put around Trae, the better he’s going to get. So, the sky’s the limit.

There's definitely a limit. But as far as someday leading the NBA in assists, that's doable

He could get 10 pts a game just on floaters.

The NBA needs a odd looking and rumpled star. The greatest thing about Larry Bird was he actually looked like a bird.

Marbury was on his way to being better than Iverson were it not for the head issues.

This dude (Shakes) did exactly the same thing regarding Lonzo Ball last season. Cherry picked so called "good games", ignored or redefined bad games and used selected quotes from NBA intelligentsia to support some silly claim that his guy was playing great. Why anyone would believe anything that this idiot has to say now is beyond me but to each his own. There is nothing credible about what this jerk says but again to each his own.

I thought so too. Big Marbury fan. The first college game of his career was actually against Iverson back in 95. That was a helluva college matchup back when College basketball actually had big time matchups.

Last game they showed footage of Trae back on the court late after a game ended with just him and his dad working on floaters. He's got the work ethic and desire to be great.

Really amazing to see how wrong everyone was about his game. Out of college it was assumed he could shoot ligths out, but wasn't quick enough to beat his man off the dribble and get to the lane. Now that he's in the league his biggest asset has been his ability to get into the lane almost at will while his shooting has struggled.

Much more accurate depiction of just how "great" Trae is playing.

Another 20 point effort for Trae last night. 4 assists. Played Kemba dead even.

Next up a return home to Oklahoma Friday night.

Hawks' Trae Young: Inefficient night Friday

Young struggled to find his rhythm Friday, hitting just 4-of-15 shots on his way to nine points. He has only shot 40 percent or better in one of his past 10 games. He is generally producing decent scoring numbers based purely on volume and his assists certainly help when looking at his overall fantasy value. Young should still be on a roster everywhere but the efficiency is likely to remain an issue moving forward, so be prepared
