38pts, 9 assists, 7 boards. On good shooting. Hit two 3's from the half court Pistons logo which is not a big logo by logo standards. Should've had more assists, but some lack of finishing. He definitely got a little tired in the 4th and turned it over a few times, but then settled down to get some nice assists and a really nice and 1 layup late in the game to help seal it.


DeAndre Hunter looked really good in his debut. Cam Reddish not so much. He should go down to the G league for the season. Huerter didn't play all pre-season and looked very rusty. Collins was his usual dunking double double machine.

There really no reason to knock Trae anymore. Pierce has this handled. He's building an all star. Not to mention all the other parts of his team he's deftly maneuvering, mostly defensively. He's even going to make Parker relevant again.

When he makes the All Star team then i will check in. He isn't too far removed from being beat out by Derrick White. Who?

I will concede on the bust stuff. He ain't that but thats as far as it goes.

He will get worn down but Pierce knows that's baked in the cake. This Hawks team is at best a .500 team and it's still a developmental year. Their run and Trae's run begins next year.

I've said more than once. Trae has NEVER been coached until now. That is huge in my assessment that Trae is the real deal.

Why wouldn't it begin this year ?

My boy Trae gonna be an All Star this year.

Pierce plays everybody. Literally. He's got to find out many things about what he has. It's going to take to the trade deadline and then I expect them to make a significant deal.

It's early but it seems Reddish and Hunter are pretty good at the defensive end.

I've adopted the Hawks. Pierce plus all his pieces is why. It's really interesting to me how it's all going to play out.
