It's only pre-season, but he just put on a "welcome to the fucking league" type of show vs the Spurs. 22 pts on great shooting, had at least 7 assists as well.

Highlight was pulling up for game winning jumper from just inside half court with 2 seconds left. Nothing but net.

Trae Young is worth buying NBA league pass.

The Hawks just pray he can have a rookie year like Markelle Fultz

I love the way he was so casual about hoisting up the game-winning shot from almost half court. Amazing.

The way he described it afterwards was great. It was supposed to be a high pick and roll, but Trae saw his defender turn his head for a second to look for the screen and that's when he decided to audible and hoist the uncontested 30 footer.

I have mixed feelings about his NBA potential, but he is fun to watch.

If his body holds up, he'll be good.

Same. I'm fine being wrong if that happens though. It'd be cool to have another Steph in the league.

yea but you're the same dummy who said he'd be shocked if the Bulls weren't at least the 5 seed in the East this year.

Definitely needs to bulk up a bit, but it's a good sign that he is already using his body to seek out contact in the lane when buying space for his floater. Did that a few times last night with good results.

Not all players, but most.

Zion Williamson doesn't need to bulk up. Neither does DeAndre Ayton.

Could eventually be a Steve Nash/Jason Kidd level playmaker.

Can we at least wait till the 1st week of the regular season before we start overreacting?

He got his clocked cleaned by the guy he replaced just this past Sunday. Can't guard a lunch pale and slow as hell off the bounce.

Solid start for Trae, but his team is really bad. Like, could challenge for worst record in history bad.

Hopefully Collins comes back soon so he has someone to pass to down low other than Alex Len.

Public Service Announcement: He isn't trolling. He is putting up meaningless stats on a team that is down 20 in the second half of every game. He really hasn't played well but I knew you'd be stat gazing and not watching. Trey Burke (G-Leaguer) severely outplayed in the first game and so did Conley last night. He is shooting poorly Dominique got on him about his shot selection last night and his defense has been predictably porous.

I didn't take the stupid bet because I knew that he'd do exactly what he is doing. Put up bullshit numbers because that team sucks and he will have the ball in his hands the entire game. They got blown out by the Knicks for Christ sakes. He wasn't even the best rookie in the game last night. The guy they should have drafted was playing for the other team.

Fultz will be a much better pro than him but the numbers won't show it because he actually plays on a contender. Know you hate that. How is the Philly will never be better than Minnesota working for you Walt? Or Embiid isn't better than Towns?

I caught highlights of Fultz versus Chicago.....they weren't even guarding him!

Great game for Trae last night! 20 points including 13 in the 1st quarter when it was still a close game. 9 assists as well.

He missed several wide open shots, once he gets more comfortable and starts draining those his scoring is going to be really high for a rookie. ANd once John Collins comes back his assist numbers will go up as well.

They shouldn't until he proves he can shoot. He knocked down some shots however and is light years ahead of Young defensively.Young is going to put up meaningless stats on a bad team. Terrible defense Terrible shooting percentage with a lot of shots and a lot of turnovers. He wasn't even the most impressive rookie in that game last night.

He will be a bust. Book it. Markelle Fultz is another guy that you will be wrong about. Oh but did you know he can't shoot? Might as well stop playing then.

The other top ten pick in that game last night is the one to really watch IMO.

Yep gonna be a stud. I'm wondering how long it will take for him to be a starter at the 4? or do you see him more as a 5? in this new NBA. I want to see him and Gasol play together.
