False. Bill Russell played against more big Hall of Fame centers than have played in the last ten years. The idea that he was jumping center against a bunch of 6'0" white dentists and insurance salesmen is the thing that's not true.

Jerry West was the best player on the floor in any stadium in his prime. It was because he was a modern player and did modern things. Yes, I know, he didn't ever beat Bill Russell.... and pitchers 'lose' games 3-2.

Embiid is 100% overrated. He has the MVP award to prove it.

i'm on the bandwagon, Embiid sucks

He's a great player, but still vastly overrated. Only received the MVP award due to skin color.

One thing many people forget to mention about Embiid is that, unlike Jordan, Shaq, Russell, etc., Embiid has never lost a conference finals game. That should end the discussion imo.

should be backing people down and shooting over them like 99.9% of the time.

All of today's bugs are overrated, minus Jokic. He has revolutionized the game and would have done so in any era, on offense. He would struggle defensively against the Bigs of the past.

They may be better 3-point shooters or ballhandlers, but very few are rim protectors or are a mismatch on offense. The rules have sort of dictated what the talent today is, but it's not better or worse. It's just different. And much less fun to watch, IMO.

How would you defend Embiid as an opposing coach? Would you let him go 1 on 1 in the post?

I would just qualify for the conference finals so I know I don't have to worry about him.
