The guy I wanted the Bulls to draft. Cleared and ready to go. Says he could have played towards the end of the season. Great move by Denver to draft him.

His brother has torn his ACL twice after his first college season, and his sister has also struggled with injury problems as a college athlete. Seems like injuries are in the genes.

Secondary choice from what was available. I preferred Porter Jr.

Probably, but there was a risk/reward factor that should have played out, IMO. But then again, Bulls doctors aren't exactly from the Mayo Clinic. LOL. Bulls organization is so bad, even their doctors suck.

Must be nice to be in a place where you can take a flyer on a guy because you're already good.

I would be shocked if this guy ends up having a long and healthy career.

Would you be shocked if he's a top 12-15 player for 3 years or so?

That's what's scary about Denver. #2 seed. Young team and a guy that may turn out to be the best player out of the group hasn't suited up for you yet. I also think there was another guy Lyles? that missed a ton of games as well. They are set up to be good going forward.

Tough to get a handle on just how good they are. Murray is only 21 I think so he still has time. Harris I think is 27 or 28.

I don't think you are winning a 'ship with Murray and Harris

yes, very much so.

Top 12-15 player means he's on the Jimmy Butler, Paul George, Dame Lillard tier. No way. Not a chance he gets there at any point in his career.

Even if he isn't a top 12-15 player there is a very good chance that he will be better than Wendell Carter.

I think the bulls should have grabbed him, when healthy he's the best guy on their roster.

Yep and a savvier GM would have traded down and still drafted him.

Is his back completely healthy or is it a chronic thing?

He is good to go and has been for awhile.

Malone has been bringing him along slowly because of the Vets that they have in front of him.

He is starting to play him more because its becoming increasingly difficult to hold him back. Kid has been impressive in just about every game that he has played.

Bulls played it safe picking the guy with slightly above average potential.

That's what pisses me off about the Bulls, there is no reason they can't be the Indiana Pacers, the only reason why not is Paxson.

Nice to see him playing well. As someone with 7 spine surgeries on his resume and had to give up the love of my life, playing basketball, after surgery #3 I always root for my back surgery brothers to succeed. That said, I am still going to be shocked if this guy has a long and prosperous career free of injury. There isn't a sport worse for your back than basketball.

20 and 14 boards off the bench tonight. 2nd double-double in 3 games.

Everyone knows the kid is a player....the question will always be can he stay healthy.

You can say that about every player in every sport. There is no way to predict which guys will be injured and which guys won't.

If the Bulls drafted Wendell Carter Jr because they believed that he was less likely to be injured then they are dumber than first anticipated.
