Love to see some players or owners say enough is enough.. pull the plug on financing this garbage..if nobody wants to watch it and it's a charity.. let it fold. Give that money to a real charity.

They should invest it in the G League. Pay the players higher salaries and remove the one and done and the G League would take off.

Agreed, give kids an alternative to college and make 100k in year one.

Wnba video game flopped too.

Agreed. And I didn't even know about the WNBA game

Who or what is a Shams Charania?

I don't even follow the NBA that closely and I know who he is. He went to New Trier and Loyola University and was on either the Score or ESPN a bunch. I only remember because his name was so weird. Made a name for himself at RealGm and now he's at The Athletic. He's a pretty big name in basketball journalism.

HE is sort of like a bootleg WOj as far insider info goes. He is really good though. You can pretty much book it if he provides the info on something.

What fun would it be playing a basketball video game where all the players are slow and can't dunk?

i'm very curious where any of this money is coming from. Is the NBA just going to continue to shell out the difference? i'm assuming well over 50% of the costs of the WNBA are subsidized by the NBA.
The NBA claims the losses are made up by female fans also watching/buying tickets to NBA games because of it. I think they would have a hard time convincing the NBA players of that but the NBA players are happy because tv contracts are skyrocketing so far and giving them huge raises every time.

The WNBA will shut down when the NBA doesn't print money from ESPN and TNT.

isn't NBA viewership dropping like a rock right now?
