How soon we forget.
viewtopic.php?f=91&t=109091
And ignore. Being a #2 draft choice guarantees nothing.

Bagley
Ingram
MkG
Ball
Parker
Beasley etc
Thabeet
Williams. Derrick
Evan Turner
Were also #2 picks. Not an All Star in the bunch

He did. I don't think he has had a good game since.

Amazing how they're starting to suggest that he change his game to protect his worrisome back.

Uh oh.

This guy is awesome and in my top 3 for must watch players on League pass alongside Trae and Luka. But, we better enjoy him while we can because the way he plays I'd be shocked if he doesn't have DRose type of injury history when it's all said and done.

Morant might not even the best rookie on his own team.

Brandon Clarke leads Memphis in PER (23.0).
Brandon Clarke leads Memphis in Shooting Efficiency (0.68).

Morant's 3rd on Memphis in PER (behind Clarke and Valanciunas).
Morant tied for 6th in Shooting Efficiency with Grayson Allen and Kyle Anderson 0.51 on Memphis.

Clarke's PER isn't just good for a Rookie, he's 18th in the league in PER.
Morant's 54th in PER in the league.

Brandon Clarke's 9th in the the league in TS%: 69.5
Morant's 157th in the league in TS%: 55.5

Clarke is behind JJJ, Crowder and Valanciunas. So he's averaging 21 minutes a game to 30 mins for Morant.

Per 36 minutes Clarke leads Morant in:

FG%
64.5 Clarke 47.1 Morant

TRB
9.9 Clarke 4.0 Morant

Blocks
1.5 Clarke 0.3 Morant

FT%
80.6 Clarke 79.1 Morant

2P%
67.8 Clarke 48.0 Morant

3P%
44.8 Clarke 42.6 Morant (neither guy shoots many 3's, 2.1 per 36 for Clarke, 2.9 per 36 for Morant)

Morant bests Clarke in

Assists (per 36)
8.3 Morant 1.9 Clarke

Steals
1.5 Morant 0.7 Clarke

Turnovers
3.9 Morant 1.7 Clarke

Clarke is awesome too. I had them both first team all rookie before the season started. He should've been drafted MUCH higher, but age discrimination.

I wish Memphis would start him so he could play more minutes with Ja. the two of them on the pick n roll are deadly.

Age and Clarke's t-rex arms hurt his draft position. Memphis made out drafting both Morant and Clarke the same year they trade away Gasol/Conley.

Crowder's an expiring. I imagine Memphis will flip him before the trade deadline. Should free up more minutes for Clarke.

yea his short wing span was a negative, but GMs didn't take into account that wing span doesn't matter than much when you can jump a head taller than just about anyone else.

I think he's on a bit of a minutes restrictions now due to some injuries, but I hope he's starting soon. Will make it a lot easier to watch Grizz games with Ja/JJJ/Clarke all starting, that way I can skip the bench players.

FYI, the Grizz with their Vancouver throw back court and uniforms is the best look in the entire NBA. So fucking sweet.

Clarke's from that area? Vancouver throwbacks solid marketing move.

The NBA's teal uniform era. Vancouver, Detroit, Charlotte...even the '96 NBA All-Star jerseys:

Mocked btw 4-12 and went 21st overall:

Oops.

Sources: Hornets buying out 2012 No. 2 pick Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
The Charlotte Hornets are finalizing a buyout with forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, sources tell ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Tim MacMahon.

The Dallas Mavericks have emerged as a possible destination once Kidd-Gilchrist clears waivers, sources said. The Hornets waived Kidd-Gilchrist on Saturday.

Kidd-Gilchrist, 26, was the No. 2 overall pick by the then-Bobcats in the 2012 draft. He has played his entire eight-season NBA career in Charlotte.

You touted and bet on a team that is currently on a 13 game losing streak.

My team is in the playoff picture. Yours is counting ping pong balls.

You never talk about them. A member of the Jesse White tumbling team does less flipping than you.

You bounce from team to team hoping to "take those rotten 76ers down"

Who ya got now Miami? Next week it will be Boston. Then "soft as bird shit Giannis"

Anyone just to be proven correct. I never wavered or altered my position.

You have MANY times. A damn joke.

With all of your insight its a wonder as to why you have lost both bets that you have ever placed against me.

For all of your chirping i guarantee that you won't bet against Philly come first round of the playoffs. Remember they are a 6th seed. Should be easy money.

Guarantee you won't take that action. Book it!

Whomever it is you will have action as long as Embiid or Simmons aren't injured.

Will you take the bet regardless of who Philly's opponent happens to be?

They may not actually play Boston in the first round. Will you still take the bet?

Just for the record Walt as it stands now Philly's 1st round opponent is Miami. Philly is in 5th place. Even better.
