He has a player option for $29M and they own his Bird rights

Curry and Klay coming back from injury. They took him so that they would have a something to show for losing Durant. They knew that Klay would be out but once he came back they'd have to move him. They always viewed him as a tradable asset.

Klay better not come back this season.

But yeah, when they signed Russell I think Woj or Lowe said there was a chance they would trade him at deadline.

Something tells me both will miss the rest of the season. Serves no purpose to come back this season. Sit and improve their draft position. Already hear where Curry is going to be re-evaluated in March. They are just dangling the carrot I think. I'd be surprised if either comes back this season.

Iggy role on GS was pretty minimal, I'm sure Wiggins would fill it easily.. he was basically a body, good for 3 or 4 buckets a night and a 3 or 4 boards.

Does GS have a first this year?

Just ignore the defense.

GS can and should keep Steph and Klay out this season.

As far as I know yeah. There was talk as soon as Curry went down that they just tank the season for a high draft pick. FIgured they had one.

Iggy was a lockdown guy in his prime and arguably the best or 2nd best defender on the team behind Klay. He won MVP of the series against Cleveland because of his defense on Lebron.

I'm sure Wiggins can hold LeBron to a triple double like Iggy did in those series.

The series where Cleveland lost in 6.

Look at Lebron's shooting % for the series.

Iggy guarded him one on one the entire series.

LBJ's points ppg avg was negligible because he took a lot of shots to get them.

I remember that series, LBJ killed it, he shot 40% true.. but he was a one man show, Kyrie got hurt in game one and missed the series..

What did LeBron avg? 40-12-12?

Dellavedova was his 2nd best player and they went 6. That was by far his best effort in the playoffs to me.

It exposed Curry more than anything but holding Lebron to 40 % shooting while guarding him one on one was damn good. Its why they gave him the MVP.

Lebron had the ball in his hands the entire series so he was bound to put up numbers.

His shooting % was terrible.

Is he the defender Iggy is no..but a swing guard/forward and Wiggins has far more scoring potential. Now he is with some stars and a great coach. He will be key for them next year...so nice try with the gotcha you southern illinois punk, but my point stands.

Lebron Avg 36 pts per game on 33 shots per game. Highly inefficient from the field.

Not very effecient, true..but he busted his ass that series. I came away impressed how he dragged those buncha stiffs to 6 games.

Tatum > Mitchell Farvefan, I never wavered. It's pretty obvious and Tatum hasn't even peaked.

Yep. Already regarded as one of the best 2 way players in the game. Might need to bump the thread for clarity.

Reggie Jackson will be on the clips after he's waived. Good pickup for Clips, backs up Beverly.
