To be fair the OP did say "stronger" Drew Gooden. Which I guess probably just means slower, if that's even possible.

He actually tried. I hated Boozer.

In a what is considered a bad draft. But better than 7 that is for sure.

We have the worst luck. I'll always remember 2006 when we had no 2. That was the year the NBe banned anyone under the age of 19 from being drafted. That is what drove KD to college. Who did we get? Tyrus Thomas. KD went no 2 the next year.

We also infamously missed the top 5 in 2003, the year of Wade, Melo and LBJ.

BS. Your selective memory forgot about the Bulls landing the #1 pick and a future MVP with a less than 2% chance.

If anyone has bad luck it's Atlanta. Have they ever moved up? Dropped 2 spots last night.

It would be just like the Bulls that there are only 3 stars.
However, the luck is changed because:

I did forget about him but in the aggregate we still have bad luck:

Two lottery picks in one of the worst drafts in history (2000)
Top 3 pick the year before (2002) one of the best drafts in NBA history (2003)
Picking outside the top 5 in the year Melo, Wade, Bosh and LBJ were in play in the top 5 (2003)
Picking no. 2 in one of the worst drafts in NBA history (2006), the same year new rules prohibited Durant from entering the draft
no 1 in 2009, extremely lucky

don't think you'll find many/any stars in this draft class. might be better off trading down and going with a player like:

most of those are examples of bad timing , not bad luck.

And 2003 was an example of the team winning games when they should've been tanking. No bad luck there. Should've had the same fate in 2009, but got historically lucky with the ping pong balls instead.
