Short version...Rivers’ daughter dated George until he impregnated a stripper on a road trip to Miami, resulting in an uncomfortable break up.

George supposedly tried to bribe said stripper to have an abortion and then denied paternity.

I agree with the move.

I think for far too long Rivers has gotten a long leash because of the '08 title.

But really since then, his teams have underachieved.

He really is another Thibodeau, who handcuffs his players defensively to the point that they cant be spontaneously good offensively.

As Lou Williams said, the team had talent but lacked chemistry. Last year's team had chemistry, as it was a collection of non-name players who played hard and for each other.

Rivers is a class guy, really almost TOO perfect of a guy, that I think he'd be an other-worldly college coach, a la Krywcieski, etc.

That musta been a helluva tough conversation for Ballmer to have.
