This may surprise you, but I don't actually pick the All NBA teams. Who I like or dislike has no bearing on who gets named to the teams.

And just because you like someone doesn’t mean that they are better either. Your original argument pertained to your guy being better when he obviously isn't.

Now you are spinning it to mean that its simply your personal preference.

If it was just about your personal preference this ends a long time ago.

You also had him as a future "MVP" as well. Newsflash he has to make All NBA if he is going to even be considered for MVP.

He's done.

Let's take it a step further. MVP voting Tatum 12th. Mitchell didn't receive 1 vote for MVP

I still think Mitchell is better than Tatum. But it's close. One guy making an All NBA 3rd team and one guy not isn't some final verdict on their careers like you're making it out to be, but I realize that you're desperately clinging to anything that suggests you're right.

  Let's see you can cling to "twice scoring 50 in a playoff game" (While simultaneously being twice torched for 50 by a guy previously considered to be the lesser player) while I cling to a guy making All NBA teams and receiving MVP votes. We will see which guy is proven correct (actually we already have) in the end.

Here's you when you believed yourself to be rolling (not to be confused with trolling) on this one.

Could be a great argument for years. Both flashing potential to be all nba superstars. Like usual, I will be right and Ltg will be proven wrong on this. Mitchell > Tatum

And for the record it isn't close. If it were Mitchell would have to beaten out Paul (who isn't the same player that he used to be) Westbrook (who's on the decline) and possibly my guy Ben (who you also like less than Mitchell).

If you look at the guys that Tatum has to contend with in order to be All NBA and the guys that Mitchell has to contend with it isn't even "close".

He will. But even with that asterisk, Tatum couldn't crack 40 once

So your assessment of players is based solely on scoring? Who knew?

Before Donovan Mitchell can even think of being better than Tatum doesn't he first have to outplay Jamal Murray first?

FF is all alone on an island with this one, he's never gonna concede though.

Anyone who gave Tatum a single MVP vote should be stripped of their vote.

By the way, if we’re using All NBA and MVP voting to determine these things, than Jokic > Embiid. Choose your next path carefully LTG

Tatum got one 5th place vote. Good for one point. Probably a Boston writer.

What would you rather have used? Your eye test? Or getting 50 dropped on you while you drop 50?

You'd be hard pressed to find anyone that REALLY watches the NBA who thinks Donovan Mitchell is better than Tatum.

Oh yeah why don't you try those advanced stats that you are so fond of (til you aren't) and compare the first 2 years of their careers.

Tatum wins there too.

As far as your whataboutism (Embiid and Jokic) goes you look silly. Jokic and Embiid are 1-2 even when you use All NBA as a baseline. They're both ALL NBA players. Mitchell isn't and until he is there isn't an argument

He couldn't even make All NBA even though he plays a position that is easier to make it from. 4 of the top 5 players in the league are forwards. His competition was much stiffer. Still made it.

You're looking rather terrible here. Before the shutdown Tatum was creeping into MANY a top 10 conversation. Thats how good he happens to be.

Oh yeah your guy Buckets was thoroughly outclassed by Tatum in the playoffs. Not merely outplayed but outclassed.

This is what astute analysis happens to look like FF.

That’s the best thing about the debate - none of what you said means shit yet. To be fair, the same applies to me. So far the NBA is valuing them the same way. We’ll see what happens going forward.

But, I’ll say again, if you wanna keep using 2020 All NBA Voting and MVP voting to determine this debate then it’s time for you to concede Jokic > Embiid. Got to pick a lane there brother.

Now you're using contracts as a means of comparison?

As far as Embiid and Jokic goes it isn't applicable. Embiid and Jokic are consensus 1-2 at their position. They are comparable. You can argue that.
In Mitchell's case you can't since he is MIA when it comes to All NBA. He is a no show where that is concerned.

Another thing regarding Embiid and Jokic all of the NBA guys that I have ever heard compare the two take Embiid also.

I will concede this point however. Jokic had the better season last year. Embiid has to come on with it this year or I will concede on that one. Barring injury of course.

You know I love the NBA debate stuff. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a lot of NBA guys here. You have you ( hf the season after football) Wolf, Nardi, 312 (wish he would post more too) Shakes (who says a ton of dumbshit but at least he watches the games) and thats about it. For the most part the NBA threads lay dead most of the time and the Bulls threads tend to be a diss Reinsdorf fest. I will try and stick around though.

You have to check out Patrick Williams. I'm not trolling on him. He is the truth.

I'm shocked in this twitter and you tube age that he fell so far under the radar.

I’m already bought in on Williams. We’re on the same page there.

Fair criticism on the half the nba season comment. Gonna get to rededicate myself this year now that the Bulls have a real coach and new GM.
