Torn achilles, out for the year.

Have we seen the last of "good" Klay Thompson? Has anyone else come back from two consecutive season-ending injuries, or something similar, and played like their pre-injury self? If that's unlikely this really sucks. Dude was in his prime and pretty damn good. I'll always remember these crazy stats from one game of his:

Holds the ball for 90 seconds total all game
Takes 11 dribbles all game

60 points

https://www.sbnation.com/2016/12/6/1385 ... -60-points

Harden takes 90 dribbles to score 11 points.

I don't think we have seen the last of Playoff Klay going off.

I'm curious how Durant will look this year. That might provide a good example to go off even though he didn't have the ACL the year before.

Can't help but think of Jabari with the 2 ACL's.

Might rival Grant Hill for most money banked without playing.

Just sucks all together. To work thru the ACL process and then not be able to get back on the court before having another serious injury. I cannot even imagine how down he must be right now.

Just the thought of another year of rehab.

in my opinion he was a really good defender. This might change that.

I'll mark him down for 2021-2022 DPOY.

They had a stat on ESPN earlier that said something to the effect that Klay's run the third farthest distance in total for his last three seasons combined, behind only LeBron and Lillard.

The idea of figuring out how far a guy ran over a 246 game span is ridiculous, but then again so is feeling the need to determine how many dribbles he took in a game. I'm starting to get disgusted with "analytics"

This blows...

He was one of the rare guys who can be effective in the modern style yet still play aesthetically pleasing basketball on both ends of the court.

At least until Patrick Williams gets out there.

Donovan wants to replicate FSU's environment as much as possible which is why Williams will spend the year on the bench.

Was extremely disappointed when I saw this.

Klay is an awesome player, and an awesome dude.

Really feel bad for him.

I don’t feel bad for millionaires often, but as an NBA fan this sucks.
