Talk to me when CP3 ever averages more than 22 ppg in a single season. The guy has 2 total seasons over 20ppg. Trae already has him beat with 3. They are on different levels offensively. CP3 great player all around obviously, but he doesn't hold a candle to Trae offensively.

His stats are mostly the result of his having a much higher usage rate. Chris Paul never had a usage rate of more than 27% (Trae's without looking is currently at 34 or 35%) When Chris Paul had a 27% usage rate he averaged 23 and 11 and his team finished 30 games over .500

With a rather pedestrian roster to boot. In a tough as shit Western Conference. Last Year he was the most instrumental reason why a team that for years couldn't sniff the playoffs all of a sudden made it to the NBA Finals. This year that very same team currently has the best record in the NBA. At 37. That's impact.
You shit on guys like Tatum (who's much better than Trae) when all he does is lock up game in and game out against the best at his position (as he did against Durant a month ago) and either holds his own or outplays them. Wake me when Trae does something similar.

He's an excellent NBA player who has deficiencies on the defensive end. That's so rare that an NBA guy isn't great at everything.
