Myocarditis is a thing. You can get it from the vaccine or from COVID. The argument is where it's most likely to come from. Let's say it's even. It's AT least a solid decision to not keep getting jabs because COVID gets weaker and weaker.

It would be quite a change of heart to go from someone that didn't want to get the vaccine, and only likely did it because his workplace required it, to someone who was giving it to his teenage children at a time where even vaccine fans like myself were saying that kids under 18 probably don't need it without a preexisting condition.

If I had to guess, he got it for sure. His wife probably got it. His kids didn't. He could say it was right for his family because his wife did. It's not like anyone could ever know about anyone but him anyways and it stops the media from hounding him about it.
