Yep. It's serious

The Hawks are playing better with Young out!

Heard here that his frequent +- -s were rather insignificant. :lol: :lol:

He is hardly the difference maker that his legion of fans here make him out to be.

Barkley called it first. His supporting cast is better than advertised.

Yea they should just keep him benched the rest of the series
Idiots

I was under the (false) impression that they couldn't possibly win a playoff game without him.

Fucking ref.

Bucks good luck continues.

An impression that you very surprisingly failed to ever contest by the way.

There’s a pretty good chance they don’t win last night if Giannis doesn’t go down
The Bucks were making a run and had the momentum with a quarter plus to go when he got hurt
Just a coincidence that the Hawks went on the game clinching run the second Giannis leaves

They were up 10 when he got injured and Atlanta was in control from the middle of the first quarter on. There was little to suggest that they would have won last night and all I've heard around here from most is how little of a difference Giannis makes anyway. A contention that you have never contested by the way. Until now. How convenient of you.

You were saying I didn’t question whether the Hawks could win without Trae
If the Bucks are also missing Giannis , then yes I think they can

it didn't look like it mattered to me that giannis went down. the hawks had control from early on. giannis going down just cemented their fate for the series. i would be stunned in the bucks can come back at all.

Wouldn’t have mattered ? They went on a 15-0 run basically the second he went out
The announcers were talking about how now the paint and lanes were wide open
A 10 point can get erased in 30 seconds in the NBA but 1 1/2 quarters wouldn’t be enough to overcome that with Giannis ?

The Hawks- without Trae for the entire series, would beat the Bucks- with Giannis for the entire series
Because the Hawks play better without Trae and Giannis doesn't matter

The Bucks were terrible last night and weren't going to win that game even if Giannis didn't get hurt. It almost seemed they were content getting that 1 game and home court advantage on their side again.

I didn’t see the Bucks ever get within 10 points of the Hawks when I had it on. When Giannis went out weren’t they already down big?

Yeah it was all but over at that point. They were down around 20 if I recall.

they were down 13 at the start of the 3rd and 10 when he went down with ~7 minutes to go

All i'm saying is re: Hawks, yea lesser players can step up in a game with a star player out but often times they run out of gas and can't finish, so a 10 point lead with 7 minutes + an entire quarter isn't exactly air tight

Maybe maybe not but no player except Trae gets much credit around here.

He shit the bed in game 7 against Philly and yet he was still touted as if he was instrumental to the team winning the game..

yea, scoring 11 points in the 4th quarter and adding some nice assists will do that.

Just when I think this team can't surprise me anymore than they already have over the past 4 months, last night happens. such an amazing game. Such an amazing team.

Difference between Hawks and Bucks is the Hawks have championship heart, Bucks just have championship talent.

I would assume Giannis is out next game, but I think Trae might be as well. If he couldn't push off without pain last night I don't know if 2 days is going to make enough of a difference. If they are both out we definitely have a shot, although I would expect a much better effort from Milwaukee supporting cast back home for game 5 than we got last night.

Looking forward to seeing how the Camborghini develops with a year under a real coach. Evidently he's grown 2 inches since he was drafted. Looked amazing last night. Hawks went from perennial lotto team to title contending team with an embarrassment of riches pretty much overnight.

11 pts on 3/4 shooting plus a couple nice assists in final 6 minutes of game 7 is hardly shitting the bed.

But keep dying on your hill trying to downplay the MVP of the playoffs so far. The NBA's newest breakout star. You might have to stop watching NBA ball for the next decade cause your ego can't handle living in the Trae Young era.

Please breakout star shot 39% from the field and 30% from 3 last series and you talk about him as if he has revolutionized the game or something.

Paul George
Chris Paul
Devin Booker
And Embiid
Have all had better playoffs and the +- (which you claim is irrelevant) played true to form last night.

Their team is better than anyone knew it to be.

You can continue the love affair with Trae while I simply watch the games and decide for myself.

You had them getting torched last night. Guess you were wrong about that one too huh?

Trae:
Points scored in playoffs = 2nd behind George
assists = 1st
steals = 6th

Paul George:
points = 1st
assists = 5th
steals =7th

Booker:
points = 5th
assists = 8th
steals =21st

Chris Paul:
points = 18th
assists = 3rd
steals = 9th

Embiid:
points = 10th
steals = 25th
assists = 29th
rebounds = 9th

but yea, keep pretending like Trae isn't the MVP of the playoffs so far.

With each passing day it's apparent that Atlanta is a lot more than no defense, bad shot taking ass Trae Young.

Last night (as well as Game 7 among others) were a perfect illustration of that.

Atlanta played arguably their best game of the playoffs last night. Without Trae.
