Let's get this thing going!

Sounds like Ben Simmons and the 76ers are having fun already!

I think Vegan hit the nail on the head when it comes to Ben Simmons.

So excited for sports to be back. When the only sport you watch is basketball you go through a bit of a lull.

Tonight is a tease though. Don't care about the Lakers vs Brooklyn game and I don't acknowledge games that start later than 8pm central so the second game is a no go for me. But, tomorrow is going to be great. Yea, my Hawks aren't playing., but just about everyone else is. New look Bulls vs Cade Cunningham (if he plays). Both Jalens are in action tomorrow as is Mobley. Not to mention fun to watch Charlotte and Memphis.

Then Thursday it's the main event for me. Dallas at Atlanta!

You love it so much, you don't even know who is playing tonight.

I hope with the next collective bargaining agreement they find a better way to deal with this sort of thing. Going the Harden route to force a trade. If I'm Philly I just keep suspending him until he starts really missing the money. I wouldn't trade him just to trade him and I damn sure wouldn't allow Rich Paul to dictate the trade either. Strangely enough its Philly that has the most leverage in this situation.

Completely agree LTG. They should make him miss the money.

 damn that's an even less appealing matchup. Don't find anything interesting about either team. Oh well, guess I'll just wait till tomorrow.

Shakes has no respect for the defending NBA Champions, shame.

The Bucks will be the team that ESPN forgets in their graphic in a few years when talking about championships.

Not a problem, I will be here to remind them and anyone else. But I think they will remember when Giannis wins again.

what's already been mentioned--fine the guy until it makes him play, and hopefully it gets him motivated to play well enough to induce a decent trade.

i hate that it devolved to this, but this is getting out of hand with how much power the players are trying to have. you're screwing your teammates, not ownership.

Truth. Nothing worse than a "teammate" who doesn't want to pull on the same side of the rope.

no, they'll be reserved for a different list. The *asterisk champions.

You have the ultimate asterisk champs, the *bubble Lakers. But right behind them is the Bucks who needed game 7 to get past a Nets team that didn't have Kyrie or a Harden who wasn't completely crippled. And after that they only got past Atlanta cause a stupid ref stuck his foot where Trae was landing causing him to suffer a bad sprain that had him out most of the series.

I'd be willing to believe Simmons is getting done dirty because why would I ever side with management, but if Embiid is burying him that tells me all I need to know (I mean, aside from knowing how Simmons ended last season).

All of this is on Simmons. Guy sold them out and instead of working to get better he blamed the organization. He strikes me as a guy that loves the NBA lifestyle just a little bit too much to ever be great. Still a good-very good player but will never be great.

It's got to be so difficult to settle down and play on ring night.
