Wasn't Philly the 1 seed in the East when they traded for Harden? And now they fall to 4th.

I think that is correct.

The east is going to be a lot of fun to watch.

Too bad the Bulls will be swept away quickly.

Bucks were so smart to rest and tank. They got the easiest 1st round possible

yeah, the West falls off a level after the top 3 teams. Luka/Dallas in 4th can't win a close series on his own. Maybe Dallas can beat falling apart at the seams Utah in the 1st round, but after that they'll need someone other than Luka to step up. Interested to see how/if Memphis' regular season success translates to the post-season. Probably Memphis' youth will trip them up before the conference Finals; being the 2 seed, they should make the conf finals against Phoenix.

I can see Memphis being a team that gets upset in the 1st round.

you're not going to like this but I have to agree with you. I've watched them a decent amount and I still can't figure out how they work as a team. Morant will find the going tougher in the playoffs with the slowdown in play. Defensively this is a pretty good team but they feel like they're a year a way and a player or two away too.

If they get beyond the play-in, Clippers will make some noise. That's a really good team.

i agree with the clipps...they have great depth - not so sure that helps them in a 1 game play-in. they do have a 2nd unit that can and should out-score any opponent's 2nd unit.

brooklyn and cleveland. hmmmm. last week, cleveland looked like crap, mobley is back - and now they are being described as dangerous. i believe they are better coached and cleveland's 2nd unit is as good/better than brooklyn's 3 starters not named irving and durant. the nets are totally lopsided.

i'll probably take minnesota and cleveland (to cover, not win) in tuesday's games.

They're sneaky deep with quite a few good, young players that are relatively unknown. Plus they are very well coached. Taylor Jenkins reminds me lot of Nick Nurse as a coach.

The amazing thing to me is that their record is so much better without Ja.

I couldn't begin to pick winners in these playoffs except for Milwaukee.

And wishing that Dallas and Utah are both eliminated asap.

Yeah I cannot remember an NBA playoffs where picking the winner is as much of a toss-up as it is this year.

What is your issue with Dallas and Utah?

I love Luka and want to see him do well.

I like Luka, but I'd rather live almost anywhere else besides the armpits that are Dallas and Utah.

Even Nick Nurse needed a Kawhi and Gasol to carry his team to the championship. If RFDC's correct in his prediction of an early round exit for young Memphis, they might look to move some of that young depth for some veteran playmakers in the off-season/next trade deadline. Either a wing or even a forward/center type like Gasol, i.e., also a good passer. Draymond Green on Memphis would be something. Probably a Gordon Hayward type (but not Gordon Hayward, Memphis has enough injury issues with Ja) who can get their own shot or make the extra pass to the open guy when Morant has to pass out of double-teams.

Memphis isn't going to lose to either the Clips or Wolves in the first round.

Yeah, Memphis should win on having the better healthy roster. But Ty Lue is a helluva playoff coach.

Oh yeah I kind of hope it's the Clips because of that. He, Nurse, and Jenkins are some of the best adjustment makers in the game.

yeah..

he's a good listen, must have paid attention during classes. i got the feeling when it comes to the playoffs, he likes teams that play team defense. anthony picked the clipps.

last game of the season for the clipps and the wolves provide color to anthony's thoughts.

PatBev almost got Marcus Morris ejected from the game. Morris already with one tech in the game, Beverley tries to bait Morris into a 2nd one, almost worked. Refs initially T'd up both Beverley and Morris. Then they went to the review and realized--wait, that's Patrick fucking Beverley!--and only hit Beverley with the T

Great move playing him in game 82. He was originally suspended for the last game but it was overturned.
