More ball dominant than Lebron? Harden? J Kidd might try to find a way to stagger Kyrie's and Luka's minutes somewhat. Dallas gets killed when Luka's off the court.

It is going to be Cuban unless this thing really falls flat.

I kinda like Mr. BABA refusing to allow him to be traded to the Lakers.

The Mavs will undoubtedly be better. They are currently hovering 2 games above .500 Don't know if this trade vaults them into the title picture but it definitely makes them better. They wanted a 2nd star to play with Doncic and now they have one. And Kyrie does have experience playing alongside ball stopping types having played with LeBron and Harden over the years.

He was little brother with LeBron and hated that. He forced Harden out and he may see himself as the big brother with Luka. I don't know how he's going to react.

He still won a championship with LeBron and seemingly it must not have been that bad if he tried to team up with him again.
And the real reason he asked to be traded in Cleveland was because sneaky GM LeBron tried to have him traded for Paul George. He got wind of it and then wanted out.
Cuban will pay him though and seems to be a "player's owner" so this just might work.

He did win a championship and still hated being Robin. His personal growth that makes him okay playing behind LeBron may not extend to Luka. If it does, they're probably in the championship conversation.

Luka is a competition junkie. I'd like to see it work out and there's a decent chance it does just for this year, but long term, the odds are small to infinitesimal.

Kyrie is Good Will Hunting. He cares neither about the carrot or the stick.

But he had no trouble being 2nd banana to Durant though. I don't think he will have a problem playing with Luka but we shall see. This is likely his last chance ro play meaningful ball so it would behoove him to make it work. Don't know if it will jive all that much with Luka though. Porzingus didn't like playing with him and Carlisle didn't like coaching him either.

Everyone burying the lead/lede: Kyrie Irving in Texas. How long til he Ozzie Guillén's it, insults Texas BBQ and has to have a police escort from his AirBnB to AA Center for games. If uber woke Brooklyn couldn't handle Kyrie's game, how the hell's Texas gonna react when Kyrie breaks out the sage incense and starts making post-game comments that annoy the locals.

Heard the Suns new owner takes over before trade deadline? If so, trading for KD could be on the table for the Suns.

Any chance Kyrie now tries to force the Mavs to trade him to LA?

Lowered Expectations, it's why LTG thinks the Bulls are a good NBA team despite sitting 9th in the East.

It's why you think that Billy Donovan is doing a good job despite never having watched a game.

Do you think it will be Steph Curry    The only team the league fears less these days are the L.A. Lakers.

The Brooklyn Nets are shutting down guard Ben Simmons for the rest of the season, coach Jacque Vaughn said Tuesday.

Simmons hasn't played since the Nets' final game before the All-Star break last month because of a nerve issue in his back. He has missed a total of 33 games this season with knee and back injuries.

After sitting out all of last season, Simmons has seen a steep decline from his days as an All-Star with the Philadelphia 76ers, posting career lows in minutes (26.3), points (6.9), rebounds (6.3), assists (6.1) and free throw percentage (43.9) this season.
