Is this the Manu who wagered on the Heat? I'll never forgive him for that.

Kobe would piss on your objective and you could get the ball from his cold dead hands.

Wtf happened here?

Thankfully Farvio provided a little comic relief right afterwards

I’d love to see these prime matchups:

Luca v Bird
Jordan v Kobe
Wilt v Shaq
Pippen v LeBron

You'd have to deduct 5-7 points from everyone's scoring averages these days and probably deduct other things to normalize prior to a head to head comparison. When you do that Luka looks more human. I'd like to see LBJ vs KG due to similar sizes.

Scottie would get embarrassed.

I'd like to see Quittin' Pippen get eaten alive by Dave Bing or Billy Cunningham. Because it would happen.

I would have loved to see a Lebron vs Dennis Rodman (Detroit Piston version) matchup. Rodman obviously couldn't score but the defense guarding Lebron, combined with the mind games would have been something to watch

There are so many good historical matchups I would love to see, but Rodman/Lebron is at the top of that list. Rodman would have got in his mind so easily.

When he first hit the league he was special defensively.

I would have loved to have seen Isiah Thomas vs Allen Iverson and Hakeem vs Jokic or even Embiid. Those would have been interesting too.

Does the "or even Embiid" part mean you have finally come to your senses on who the best big man in the league currently is?

Jokic the favorite for his 3rd straight MVP. Maybe Embiid will get one eventually.

I'm all about Scottie and whatnot but this city does definitely overrate him. The truth is there's a Scottie Pippen in just about every era - elite defenders with above-average offensive skills.

JORR has come a long way from this thought in 2017.

Right. And I'll remember it the next time there's an argument on the greatness of Rodman and Pippen who are now deemed to be less than Love and Irving.

But your opinions on them are as inconsistent as anyone's here. That was my point of bringing it up earlier. You think Buck williams was better than rodman because, in your words, offense matters more than defense and rebounding. Yet you're offended someone would then suggest Love is better? Doesn't add up.

I wouldn't compare Love to Rodman. They're completely different types of players.

They are, because of the evolution of the game. But they play the same position on championship teams. You can't sit this comparison out just because it destroys your Buck > Rodman logic.

It doesn't destroy my logic at all. I'm not comparing either Williams or Rodman to Love. Do you think LeBron has played with anyone better than Pippen or not?

Now Pippen would get destroyed by Dave Bing and Billy Cunningham.

Now, maybe Jordan got lucky, but what you have to realize is that his teams weren't talent rich until we look back in hindsight. Rodman was a washed up player who was traded for a backup center. Horace Grant had a moderate career outside of Chicago. Pippen was great, and a really good complement to Jordan, but it's not like Lebron hasn't played with top NBA players for his whole championship window.

There it is. The old "Jordan did all by himself" argument. In the next thread Rick will be arguing with Vegan that Scottie was one of the 50 best of all-time. Fuckin' Bulls fans. Unbelievable.

Jordan did it all with the best player and only all-star he ever played with who would get destroyed by Dave Bing.

I will lose even more if they give it to Jokic again. They hosed my guy Embiid last year and it looks as if they are going to do it again this year. That is why he pulled an "old school" Isiah on Stockton move on him last week and TOOK HIS ASS OUT!

Hey JORR, LeBron put him up as one of the 4 all time dunk contest participants and didn't include Jordan but did include Zach LaVine. Is this finally enough for you to say something negative about LeBron?

LeBron partnering with Taco Bell and make the government step in to liberate the "Taco Tuesday" trademark? He literally tried to trademark that shit himself just a few years ago.

He’s profiting from cultural appropriation.

Arguably the most privileged individual in America today not named Taylor Swift.
