Atlanta regrouped. They have depth. The thing about Trae is he can be a momentum enforcer or a momentum killer. I can live with it, but he gets hunted so, so bad on the other end and I'm starting to think no team can win a championship with him in the starting lineup. All he has to do is change a couple minor things and my narrative would change. But he just doesn't.

i dont think anyone thought trey young was still good and the way the hawks suddenly decided to run the floor like they used to 2 years ago was impressive. they wanted it more.

plus jimmy was clearly not himself. he looked so off. he was trying, it was clear he cared a lot about that game, but his body was half a second behind his brain all game.

why didn't the Lakers get Conley in that deal? Sure, sending Russ packing necessary, but bringing in D-Lo wasn't
much of an upgrade.

Mike Brown gonna get screwed by the league. Sucks cuz he's turned that franchise from a loser mentality to
winning and now they'll be rewarded with a first-round exit aided and abetted by the league/refs.
Maybe Brown will show everyone that Kerr's a bit of fraud as a HC and lock down everyone but Steph
and make it impossible for the league to put their thumb on the scale with a few choice calls Golden State's way.

I'm not really an analytics guy per se, but watching him play last night you can see where the analytics matches up to the player and not the hype. He has every bit the look of a modern day J.R. Rider ironically. Same build and similar game. Real explosive, high volume scorer but really doesn't do much else besides score and take a ton of shots.

Refs took the game away from the Wolves too. First free throws of the second half were taken by Conley at the end of regulation while the Lakers were in the penalty at the 10 minute mark of the 4th. They also were in the penalty early in the 3rd too.

GS is too long in the tooth to be this relentless. This is a tough matchup for them against a team who can match their intensity and with a coach who will remind them they have to. There will be no letdown for the Kings. If GS survives, there might not be any gas left in the tank.

For all of the hype surrounding Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr has the look of a guy that will be the Grizzlies best player going forward. His offensive game has gotten much better.
