If he takes this squad to the Finals, Yes or No? If they win the 'Ship, for sure yes.

Yep, it's not like the NFL HOF.

6 time NBA All-Star, Olympic Gold medalist, and 2 Finals appearances so far at 33. I was surprised when looking it up -- but the most FG attempts he's had per game thus far in his career is 16.5 in his last season with the Bulls. I say absolutely, no matter the outcome of the next series.

Not only did the Bulls lose the Butler trade, but Parkins just speculated there is a good chance the front office will use Miami's success as an excuse for standing pat at the trade deadline and a justification for doing very little this offseason. I can easily see that.

Was this a serious question?

Embiid must be furious...along with Zack

I don't know of any low level draft pick who not only worked himself into a great scorer, but also worked himself into a superstar player. I love guys like Butler in any sport.

He was already a stud. IIRC, they didn't think he would come over.

the only way he wouldn't be HOF is if he loses this series, already up 3-0.

if he wins the title, which he has a very good chance to, then yes. absolutely. what he has done over his career is astonishing, given his circumstances. he doesnt have any special talent. everything he has done is effort and dedication. i feel that should qualify you more than god given talent.

He's in, he's beloved. He was ripped during his travels through Minnesota and Philly, but he ended up being right about both those organizations.

yeah, if the Sixers had kept Butler and brought in a replacement for Brett Brown
who could work with Butler/Embiid the Sixers making the Finals at least once.
Hell, Butler himself has come within one shot of making the Finals every season (or every season cept one?) since then himself
on Miami.

Took a mad deep Raptors team--8 guys who were legit in Nurse's rotation that season + they caught the last few good moments of Gasol's career that season--with a HC at the top of his game to beat that 2019 Sixers team.

I like the hiring of Nick Nurse. He seems like a Larry Brown type--either he's going to get you over the hump in the first 2 or 3 seasons or he's going to flame out/wear out his welcome with the players--probably both. But pushing 30 Embiid doesn't have time to fuck around finding out if some rook head coach has what it takes.
