yep, i bet the Pistons ML at +830, thinking they'd catch the Celts flat-footed and down a guy or two. Lost it in OT, but they really lost it right after half-time when they sat back and let Boston cut the lead from 19 to 1 in half a quarter.

I wonder what the money line was for Boston at halftime.

Last I saw Celtics were still betting favorites -6.5 / - 250 ML at 50-37...Pistons added 6 points to their lead going into the half, so probably closer to even money, but I imagine Boston still a slight favorite to win at 66-47 halftime.



fwiw, that was the biggest non-live spread and money line of the season so far, opened +1300 and up to -3000 before the Celts injuries announced. Closed at anywhere from +800 to +900 (+16.5 to +18.5) and -1350 to -1700 after Jaylen Brown and potentially Tatum were announced as being out. Tatum ended up playing, poorly. But he shot enough volume to make up for it, i guess.

The draft looks like it sucks. What a bad year to be this awful.

Celts at the end played like it was game 7 of the NBA finals. Running Tatum and Holiday out there for 45 minutes each in a mostly meaningless regular season game. Those are playoff minutes, not just another game in late December minutes. Old man Al Horford played 38 minutes. First time Horford's broken 30 minutes all season and most minutes Tatum or Holiday played in a game this season.
