True. There are probably only 7 NBA fans on this board but I like the sound of that.

We can all go out and do a drive-by shooting beforehand too just to get in the spirit

...yet he then gives declining statistical numbers for McGrady and explains a lot of it is due to the open looks Yao created for him no longer being there

True, but we are assuming John Hollinger knows what he is talking about. T-Mac's scoring may be down but the ball movement of the entire team seems to be much better from the games I have seen.

btw.. completely irrelevant to this topic... is TJ Ford or Calderon gonna be available this summer? Seems like having two really good PGs isnt necessary. Im guessing Toronto wont want to let go of Calderon because of Ford's history, but I would love to somehow see him in a Bulls uni next season.

Thumbs down to Mike Tirico for again just making shit up about teams hes too lazy to do homework on. He said Golden State and New Orleans both play a fastbreak fast paced style. New Orleans actually plays at the fourth slowest pace in the NBA. He later said both teams are among the best 3 point shooting teams in the NBA. Golden State shoots the most in the league, but they are 20th in the NBA in percentage. I hate when announcers just guess about the teams they are covering. Do a little bit of homework if you are gonna use stats as a basis for your conclusions about teams.

Not that I needed a reason to like Chris Paul more, but that was a pretty cool Mic'd Up they showed at the end of the 3rd quarter. CP was basically pleading with Byron Scott to stay out on the court, saying "Come on, please just let me play it out, if I get one more Ill take myself out, please just let play it out, let me start the 4th, I got this coach, I got this."

CP3 is about as annoying as A-Rod.

not the player, but just the nickname.

No, 8 was the number he came into the league with. He switched to 24 last season.

Its amazing how ineffective Kidd is playing under Avery Johnson. Bad pairing.

I really hope they don't make the playoffs, but I don't see the Warriors finishing with a winning streak.

Big win for my guys over the Suns today. Three out of Dallas' next four games are against Seattle and Portland, so by my estimation they should hopefully win at least three out of their next four games.

They host Utah on Wednesday and they close out the season at home against New Orleans but hopefully they'll use this week to create some momentum into the playoffs.

Where my Mavericks fans at?

i like cuban and dirk but i just can't root for anything coming out of that state.

i'd like to see new orleans go far, but their post season inexperience will hinder them.

i'd like to see my team get a notch higher in the playoff standings, but their defense has been a lot better lately. i do NOT want them playing detroit, but cleveland would be an interesting match up. orlando seems like the inevitable match up, and that'll do. i think they'll match up well.

Any interest in a NBA playoff gathering?

I'd only be interested in a gathering if you cancel it two days beforehand and disappear from the board indefinitely.

Giving up 151 to Seattle is just pathetic given the tight race. I hate Denver's team.

Durant was awesome though. Some clutch 3's. The highlights were cool. Typical Denver game.

As do I. I have no problem with A.I. and I love Camby, but I've NEVER been a fan of Carmelo's game. Sure he can score some points but he hasn't heard of defense and I'd be hard-pressed to find a team in the league he could actually win with.

Yeah, Melo is a microcosm of Denver's team. Tons of offensive talent, no hustle, no defense. If he just dedicated himself to basketball ala Kobe he would be one of the best players in the game. I love Iverson and Camby, but I dont think they are winning anything significant on Denver. I know they would never consider it, but I think the Nuggets should try to trade Melo this offseason. That nucleus had time to develop and do something, it couldnt, time to move on.

Agree, on Coach K's Team USA, he was the #1 option. On a team loaded with players, he was the Star of Stars. It's frustratiing though because D and unselfishness are still distant rumors in 'melo's game....
