Im sick of all the haters out there when it comes to the NBA. These are just a few reasons why I love this game.

-Caron Butler
-Lebron's 48 Special against the Pistons last season
-The look in Kobe's eyes when he has the ball in isolation down by 1 with 5 seconds left
-Shaq's post game interviews
-Phil Jackson's quotes
-Marbury welcoming Yao to the NBA
-Isaih Thomas as a GM
-Isaiah Thomas as a player
-The 2004 Detroit Pistons
-Tim Duncan in the playoffs
-KG showing more intensity in a preseason game against the Bobcats than should be legally allowed. He definitely loves this game
-Dwight Howard being the perfect role model as a player and a person
-Charles Barkley on TNT, best analyst alive.
-Bill Walton AKA Grateful Red and the '77 Blazers
-Players like Jose Calderon playing the point about as efficiently as you can and people like Thug and Mac having no clue who they are
-Chris Bosh's All Star commercial
-Marcus Camby being the most underrated player of this decade
-Jason Kidd, noone has been funner to watch over the past 10 years and that includes Kobe, Bron, etc.
-Michael Jordan, say what you want about his stint with the Wizards, the man loves this game and that is the only reason he came back
-The NBA All Star game being one of the funnest weekends in sports of the year for me
-Chris Paul(Its a shame hes this far down on my list so far) having the best PG season anyone has had since Kidd got robbed of MVP his first season with the Nets.
-Allen Iverson throwing down 50 on the Lakers in game 1 of the 2001 Finals in a David vs Goliath matchup.
-Big Shot Rob(Or is it Cheap Shot Rob after last year vs the Suns?)
-Steve Nash running an offense is impossible not to appreciate if you love basketball
-The way Rip Hamilton moves without the ball
-I dont like TMac, but his 11 or 12 points or whatever in the last 30 seconds against the Spurs a few years back was ridiculous. They were down by like 10 or 11 and he hit like 4 or 5 three's to win the game
-David Stern's interviews. he is actually a very funny guy and a damn good commish
-Joakim Noah--- say what you want about his offensive skills but he is a competitor and leaves it all out on the court. Give me a Joakim Noah over a Zach Randolph any day.
-Skip to My Lou making the NBA and playing productive ball for the Rockets. A rarity.
-Golden State's home crowds during the playoffs last season. Now that is a fanbase I can appreciate.
-NBA Cares program, its not a PR move, alot of these guys genuinely care about humanity, I knows thats a shock to Thug and people of his ilk, but its true.
-Any buzzer beating three pointer, those are really damn exciting.
-Ben Wallace at the FT line. Highest of comedy
-Rasheed Wallace, one of the smartest players in the NBA. He can play on my team anyday.
-Paul Piece getting fouled really hard earlier this season(I forgot his opponent) and then going on a 10-0 run by himself.
-Chris Kaman being the ugliest badass in the league, and doing it with severe ADD.
-Karl Malone and John Stockton running a pick n roll.
-The Portland Trailblazers epitomizing what this game is really all about.
-Van Gundy hugging Alonzo's ankle...priceless
- Josh Smith... a very dumb player but extremely athletic, talented, and fun to watch. Any stat line would not surprise me from this guy.
-Tim Duncan's game 7 performance against the Pistons in the Finals a few years back. One of the most under talked about huge performances ever.
-Skiles reportedly punching Shaq in practice, thats just funny.
-All the young talent in this league, its more abundant then it has been in 10 years. The league has a ton of under 25 superstars led by Dwight and Bron, so sorry to all you guys that hate this league, its only going to get stronger and better, and you need to start noticing players like that, not Zach Randolph and Darius Miles.

Kid Cairo loves this game because of:

- SCOTTIE PIPPEN from 1991 through 2000
- The 1993 Phoenix Suns
- My fellow Proviso East alums (Doc Rivers, Michael Finley & Steven Hunter)
- Dominique vs. Larry Bird in the 1987 Playoffs
- Isiah vs. Bernard King in the 1985 Playoffs
- Reggie Lewis
- Jason Richardson in the 2003 Slam Dunk Contest
- Amare Stoudamire's dominance
- Clyde Drexler finally won a ring!
- Patrick Ewing never won a ring!
- Players like Danny Granger, Josh Howard, Joe Johnson, Al Jefferson, and countless others
- Carlos Boozer & Deron Williams, bitches!
- Larry Bird in 1986
- Tayshaun Prince blocking Reggie Miller's layup in 2004
- Nate Robinson blocking Yao Ming in 2007
- "Whoa! A specTACULAR move...by Michael Jordan" - Marv Albert
- 72 and 10
- Cedric Ceballos' rap album
- Larry "Grandmama" Johnson & Lil' Penny
- #8-seed Nuggets upset #1-seed Sonics
- D-Wade playing through injuries
- Reggie Miller in the 4th Quarter vs. the New York Knicks

and many many more...

Wow, an obvious oversight by me. The left handed only game against Portland was absolutely priceless.

I think Bonzi Wells has the Juwan Howard syndrome: They make their teams better by getting traded.

Dammit, you're going to force me to make a list...

-Kevin Garnett vs. Tim Duncan
-Drazen Petrovic (RIP)
-Run TMC: Mullins' J, Hardaway's crossover, Richmonds scoring
-Webber's dunk over Barkley in 94
-Warriors taking out the Mavs last year
-Watching young teams like the Hawks develop
-KG coming up huge in game 7 vs. the Kings and standing on the scorers table afterward
-Watching west coast games still going on at midnight
-The advent of League Pass
-Being fortunate enough to grow up and witness the Bulls title runs
-Antawan Jamison dropping back to back 50 pt games
-Kobe going for 80
-Barkley's shot against the Spurs
-Allan Houston's shot against the Heat
-NBA on NBC
-Chick Hearn (RIP)
-The trade deadline anticipation
-The draft anticipation
-Being there live
-Getting to see, almost every night, a marquee matchup...Wade vs. AI & Anthony, KG vs. Duncan, Baron Davis vs. Kidd, LeBron vs. Kobe.....
-Josh Smith's blocks
-Chris Paul running circles around everyone
-The entire Kings-Lakers conf. finals in 2002 including the game 7 OT

Not really NBA related, but I'll never forget seeing Ronnie Fields dominate a high school game. What a tragedy....

Good point Big Ern. I guess it's easy to overlook some of those guys. I think Sherrell and Donnie averaged 1.2 minutes per game between the two of them.

Very true. Did you see the 1995 McDonald's All-American game? Ronnie Fields & KG put on a helluva show!

Damn Favre Fan nice list, you gave me a "to do" over my lunch hour

Watching John Stockton and Karl Malone do the pick and roll

Manute Bol chucking up 3 pointers (and occasionally making them)

Reggie Miller scoring about 8 pts in 5 seconds vs the Knicks

Reggie Miller taunting Spike Lee

Pippen baseline dunk where he had to duck his head under the backboard to get back on the right side of the basket

Mark Cuban amassing more fines than the amount of money I will make in my lifetime

Anytime the LA Lakers lose

The New Orleans Hornets going toe to toe with the goliaths of the Western Conference

Chris Paul, since I drafted him in the 2nd round of my fantasy league

Karl Malone taking out Isiah Thomas

Watching Bill Laimbeer trying to throw a punch

The Dikembe Mutumbo finger wag, but getting dunked on so many times later in his career more people did it to him.

*obligatory MJ plug*

MJ’s 63 pts in the 1986 playoffs, and at the same time making Larry Bird look slower than Harry Teinowitz at a joke telling convention.

No, I didn't see that...I can't even remember where the game I saw was at or who they played against. I think it was some holiday showcase, around xmas or something

I did see KG play my high school though, and give them a proper beatdown. Still have the school paper 8)

Have you been using it? Like I said I never use the online thing, so use it the rest of the year if you want, I don't care...in fact I'm glad someone is getting some use out of it. Doesn't seem to affect me watching at home at all

Kid Cairo if you read what you quoted from Baku again the amount of innuendos you could have come up with is HUGE. Have you lost the edge?

Catch that GS/NO game? GS was on their game, Baron, Jackson, and Monta all had big games. CP vs. Baron was fun to watch.
