With his noticeable decline, itll be fun to see if Kidd can bring it defensively for one more spring. Kidd vs CP just one of a million fun matchups next weekend.

I just thank Dallas for closing out the season strong, winning 4 out of 6 - including wins over Utah and Nawlins. It's gonna be tough to get out of the first round once again.

For Dallas to beat Nawlins, they'd have to get it done in as few games as possible. If the series goes long, Nawlins has the advantage because they have the young legs. Veterans like Kidd and Stackhouse could easily break down in a long series. However, Dallas is more experienced in big situations. Most of Dallas' top guys have been to the finals, not to mention various other big playoff series. Either way it'll be an exciting series. I'll be wearing my Dallas blue.

The Spurs have played beautiful basketball in the first half. To say they are running on all cylinders would be an understatement.

It'd be a shame if Shane Battier never won a title. He seems like he was born to play on San Antonio.

Hilarious stuff from Bill Simmons Ramblings today. I was LOL'ing pretty hard at this.

Quote:
Hey, just because the Mavs are long gone from the playoffs doesn't mean we have to stop making Josh Howard jokes, right? Can we call the 2008 Mavericks team video "Howard and Kumar?" Do you think he ever tried to get Shawn Bradley high? Has Visine approached him about becoming its new endorser yet? Does he own a 7-foot bong that he named "Desagana?" How many times do you think he toked up with a teammate, then fell over in hysterics imitating Avery Johnson's voice? And can ESPN organize a Josh Howard roast so I can stand on a dais and make these jokes as someone like Jerry Stackhouse keels over in hysterics and does the slumped-over-and-pounding-the-table routine?

So I'm killin time till I'm off work at 9 and I was rereading these old threads. Lots of love for Camby and Monta Ellis in this one. Love that we were talking about Wally World and Big Ben possibly being the missing pieces for LeBron's puzzle in Cleveland. Makes this year's loss look even worse.

I forgot about this thread until my girlfriend saw me looking at the board and asked why I love sports and the NBA so much. Then I remembered and showed her(she's a big NBA fan too) and she said "wow... You know too much useless shit about the NBA. Get a job."

The lockout's killing me Farvio. :(

Yeah no kidding. The Bulls are sheduled at Dallas on 11/1 and she said we are DEFINITELY going if the season starts on time. Too bad the season won't start on time

I thought Carrie would understand your NBA fandom.

You gotta admit, we were quite an item at one time Farvio.

Finding out it was you explained her asinine opinion on Sam Mitchell, among other things

Yeah agreed. That's silly, but it comes with the territory these days.

Yeah, he leaped over Perkins with the help of his hand on the guy's head. Offensive foul maybe?

Seems like people are desperate for there to be something good about this NBA season.

A regular season dunk where he barely touches the rim, pushed off and used it to get a little higher, and the ball rattles around the rim isn't that good.

Shaq probably has 100 dunks in his life better than that.

Kinda hard to blow a whistle with your jaw on the floor.

Meh. What he did deserves a punch in the face from Perkins.

Are you guys a fan of the extension ones where he kinda throws it in without touching the rim?

Im not, but a lot of people love it. Its athletic for sure but it doesnt satisfy my Bill Walton like need for THROWING IT DOWN

I think LeBron's flight over Lucas was way better

I think the object of humiliation in each case should factor in. Lucas doesnt even belong in the league, while Perkins makes his bones being a defensive post presence. I agree that true dunks are better than the extension ones though.

I think the outcome would have been much different if Perkins wasn't held down to the ground by Griffin's hand. Ya know, if he was given the ability to actually jump on the play....

BTW, I really hope the Clippers make a run this year. That team is overrun with guys who will be Trash talking machines if they get a taste of success.

I could see Griffin as a villian
